Then it is said that, for the innate wisdom of the world, for individuals and dharmas known to each, there exists a nature established by valid cognition that is not immediately tainted by delusion; and that, in either of the two truths, it is not denied that there is no self-truth, but rather that there is no self-truth; even if a dharma to be proven as emptiness were to become knowable again, yet it cannot be found by searching, and that is the meaning of emptiness. Emptiness is free from elaboration, (166b) Even so, since it is not established as a permanent truth from the object's own side, it is without truth, yet emptiness itself is established as the basis for emptiness; emptiness and non-truth, and truth therein; non-truth exists truthfully in non-truth, thus precluding both true establishment and truth, deceiving all who have a perfect faith in profound emptiness with meaningless words of discrimination under the guise of language; and for the sake of deception, they proclaim that this Dharma is not greatly accumulated, and therefore cannot be realized. This proclamation is like the sound of death omens to those who desire liberation, so for their sake, it is said that if, according to that way, no matter what he says, if one arouses a thought that is in accordance with his clinging meaning and the words he speaks, it will become like this: only the worldly view or discrimination that does not see Suchness becomes valid cognition, while the noble ones are the opposite; children see it, while the noble ones do not see it; the various consciousnesses enter into the reality of the object and are not deluded; the samadhi wisdom of the noble ones is deluded; that which exists without being analyzed by reason; that which exists conventionally; that which exists nominally; that which exists imputedly; that which is false; that which is deceptive; that which exists in illusion; that which exists without analysis; that which exists in the eyes of children, etc., all become abiding in meaning, while their opposites do not become abiding in meaning, and (167a) All dharmas are like illusion, dreams, water moons, reflections, eye ailments, echoes, mirage water, bubbles, banana trees, a state of being struck on the head, lightning, clouds, rainbows, gandharva cities, hairs in a comb, double moons, emanations, and so on.
