Crests and the like, like a pearl-colored milky sea, like the shape of an umbrella held upright, the Victorious Ones say that is liberation. Thus, when transcending the three realms, liberation like raising a white umbrella is the same as wanting, so this shows that it has become an outsider. Therefore, although the conventional does not appear to the Buddha, it is not contradictory that the Buddha knows everything that is said and performs activities such as turning the wheel of Dharma, because the cause of doing so, the interdependence of the accumulation of merit, the result of practicing correctly in the past during the time of Bodhi conduct, will not be wasted. This is seen as a fair and good explanation for the view that the Buddha does not have the wisdom to measure conventional appearances. In the text of the "Entering the Middle Way" written by Black Horse Head, it says: If the conventional truth is true, then it is not pervasive with existence, and if the nominal truth is true, then it is pervasive with existence. If it exists in the conventional, then it is not pervasive with existence, and if it exists in the nominal, then it is pervasive with existence. Nowadays, many people follow each other's arbitrary statements, and although they agree in words, they are uneasy in their hearts. If the beginning and end of the Madhyamaka doctrine are arranged, how else can it be said other than this? Please think carefully. Although there is no focus at all (161a), it is only written in words. What you said, "If the conventional truth is true, then it is not pervasive with existence," you said that thinking of the inverted conventional. What will happen from that? Believing that the inverted conventional is true, this very treatise that is being explained now has already refuted it, because the commentary on this says: That and whatever is also false in the conventional is not the true conventional. Even if you only read it once, don't think about it at all, just make a record in the Entering the Middle Way. Existing in the conventional is not pervasive with existence, and existing in the nominal is pervasive with existence, this is what the Consequentialists establish in their own system, they would not even dream of it in a dream. In particular, the refutation is specifically aimed at the view that claims to be established by the measure of one's own system, because for this Dharma principle, it is reasonable to refute all extremes of elaboration, and whoever accepts elaboration in one's own system will become an extreme of elaboration. Therefore, when examining, the two are equal without difference, and when not examining, there is

Similarly, if it is not analyzed in this way, then in the worldly reputation, the conventional worldly person will also regard that conventional as both correct and incorrect, merely echoing what others say. Apart from that, there is no distinction made in one's own school. It seems that you do not understand even a little of such a meaning. If you are allowed to organize the meaning of the Madhyamaka doctrine from beginning to end, I am afraid that, as mentioned earlier, there is no other way to say it except in this way, just like the fragments of a clay pot (161b) scattered all over the place, which is very dangerous. Also, Ra nag go chen pa said, "Conventional truth is deceptive, therefore it is not ultimate truth." You wrote that this statement proves that Sakya Pandita's distinction between Svatantrika and Shentong is in accordance with reality. According to the literal meaning of your statement, Svatantrika believes that conventional truth is ultimate truth, while Prasangika does not believe so, and this is considered to be the difference between Svatantrika and Shentong. If this is the case, what will happen? The quote that you cite as Sakya Pandita distinguishing between Svatantrika and Shentong is not a quote from Sakya Pandita explaining the difference between Svatantrika and Shentong. Even if it is possible, while Sakya Pandita distinguishes between Svatantrika and Shentong, if you explain the way in which Svatantrika and valid cognition are in accordance with each other according to your literal meaning, then although you consider yourselves to be loyal supporters of Sakya Pandita, you are actually destroying his doctrine. As it is said: The difference between the head, measure, and tenets is, I respectfully ask you. Although there are many who talk about this meaning, because of the blessings of Manjushri, only I truly understand this meaning. In conventional terms, it is not deceptive, this view is the tenet of valid cognition, which is in accordance with Svatantrika, while Prasangika, in conventional terms, in short, does not admit truth. This verse does not clearly state the difference between Svatantrika and Shentong, but only explains the difference between the head and measure. Moreover, saying that the tenets of valid cognition and Svatantrika are in accordance with each other means that, in conventional terms, things that are not deceptive are in accordance with things that are established by valid cognition (162a). It is also not right to explain Sakya Pandita's view in this way. Because, the logicians of the Vaibhashika school believe that, in ultimate truth, things that are not deceptive are established by valid cognition, but they do not admit that things that are merely established in name and cannot function are not deceptive.
