To hastily and rashly assert that "the view is definitely not so" would also be too hasty. The conventional truth, for those who, like the Hearers, Solitary Realizers (pratyekabuddha), and Bodhisattvas who have abandoned the ignorance of afflictive obscurations, see conditioned phenomena, images, etc., as if they were truly existent, becomes like a fabricated object, which is its nature. It is not the truth, because they do not presume it to be the truth. For children, it is deceptive, while for the noble ones, it becomes merely conventional, like an illusion, arising from interdependence. That mere convention also appears in the post-meditation of the noble ones who have an object of experience with appearance, because it is universally practiced by mere ignorance characterized by the obscuration of knowledge. It does not appear in the state of equipoise, which has no object of experience with appearance, because all elaborations are completely pacified. Here, in ancient documents, it is recorded: In many Madhyamaka scriptures, taking the state of equipoise without appearance as the premise, it is said that although the three lower noble ones do not cling to the truth in their post-meditation, the appearance of the truth still exists. For the Buddha, there is neither clinging to the truth nor the appearance of the truth, but only the appearance of conventional interdependence. According to the view of the great scholar Chandrakirti, this is not reasonable. If the three lower noble ones have the appearance of the conventional, then it is impossible for the conventional to appear as the truth; and the appearance of the mere conventional is pervasive. The Buddha does not have the appearance of either the conventional truth or the mere conventional, because both are determined by ignorance related to or unrelated to afflictive obscurations, and are dharmas that are opposed to the wisdom of knowledge. Therefore, the former's saying so is to beautify the view that the conventional exists in the realm of the Buddha. Such a clear exposition is indeed a well-spoken statement. The commentary on the Entering the Middle Way says that from "Hearers and Solitary Realizers" to "those who do not have an object of experience with appearance," it refers to those noble ones who, although they do not have a true clinging to the conventional, the conventional is indeed false, and it is clearly pointed out that this is the obscuration of knowledge. Regarding such scriptures, the great Zilong Shakya asserts that the subtle clinging to the truth in the minds of the noble ones is ignorance related to afflictive obscurations.

In short, saying "thus it is said" is a sophistry that reverses the meaning of one's own doctrinal treatises. Because, if there is a subtle clinging to reality, then the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Bodhisattvas who have abandoned the ignorance of afflictions, for those who see the nature of existence as similar to formations, images, etc., combining them as the established and the establishing, that is reversed and should be said in this way. It should be said that for the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Bodhisattvas who do not have the ignorance of afflictions, and who have not separated from ignorance, for those who see the nature of existence as similar to formations, appearances, etc. If that is the case, for this school, the author of the treatise says: You will become powerful, so your school is of no use at all. Therefore, the venerable Nagarjuna and his followers, etc., without realizing that the basis of imputation, the aggregates, etc., are without inherent existence, if they do not realize the selflessness of the imputed person, then it is said that clinging to reality is the ignorance at the root of samsara. (159b) It is said. Because of that reason, if one is a noble being, then it is explained that there is no clinging to reality in his continuum, because it is explained that clinging to reality is pervaded by the afflictive obscurations, then the Prasangika school is without fault. However, Zilong Chokdenpa and Tanak Go Chenpa say: To explain it this way in the Prasangika school is a great fault. Saying this, they criticize Tsongkhapa, which is like a crow using impure things to dirty its mouth, striving to wipe the clean places, what else can it become? Similarly, the clinging to reality that grasps phenomena that depend on causes and conditions as truly established in that, is said to be the ignorance of the afflictive obscurations. If that is not the ignorance of the afflictive obscurations, then the twelve links of dependent origination will not arise from that. It is not that it does not arise, in the Seventy Stanzas on Emptiness it says: Phenomena that depend on causes and conditions, to conceptually think of them as truly existent, that is what the Teacher said is ignorance, from that the twelve links arise. Because it arises in this way, such clinging to reality mainly obscures the attainment of liberation, so it is the afflictive obscuration, and the habitual tendencies of clinging to reality and the wisdom that clings to the aggregates as illusory without inherent existence, mainly obscures the attainment of omniscience, so it is the cognitive obscuration.
