All inferences that establish the Dharma as a logical argument, all that establish what is not established in themselves, such as the logical argument, will be completely destroyed. (156b) So it is said. Regarding this, the Svatantrikas think, since it has already been said that all dharmas are not truly or ultimately established, why is it necessary to say that they are not conventionally established? To this, the Prasangikas say that such a statement is a statement devoid of reason, because if there is no truth in the pervasive truth or ultimate truth, then there is no truth established by valid cognition in conventional terms. Like the appearance of falling hair to one with blurred vision. Due to the extensive refutation of the Svatantrika view, it appears that in Jambudvipa (Earth), the Madhyamaka school has split into two major traditions, the Prasangika and the Svatantrika. I think that the main difference between the Prasangika and Svatantrika tenets lies in this alone. Because the Svatantrikas, based on this view, hold that some of the conventional dharmas, such as the alaya-vijnana, are established by valid cognition in conventional terms, while others are not, and many such views have arisen. The great teacher Chandrakirti specifically refuted those who hold that they exist. There is no difference between the conventional error that the Svatantrikas hold and the conventional error that the Prasangikas hold, because both exist when appearances are not examined, and neither exists when examined. Second, the heretics who are disturbed by the sleep of ignorance, and the examination of illusions, mirages, etc., those examinations do not exist even in the world. The internal and external heretics who are disturbed by the sleep of ignorance, in their respective treatises, examine the self, the chief, the atoms, and the alaya-vijnana, etc., as existing in the manner of the nature of things, and the examination of sense-deceptive illusions, mirages, etc. (157a) as horses, cattle, etc., those do not exist even in the world, let alone in the ultimate sense, because worldly people do not use those to make designations. If it is thought that those examined by the heretics do not exist in meaning, but exist in the conceptual mind of conventional terms, then such a view is universally known in the world.

Abandoning the conventional aspect and relying on dharmas that do not exist in the world to accept or reject, it is like wanting to climb a tree, letting go of the previous branch without grasping the next, one will fall into the abyss of wrong views, separated from the view of the two truths, and thus unable to obtain the fruit. Some think that the tirthikas, both internal and external, cling to their imagined and sense-deluded appearances as true, and in their minds, they are also true. They are also worldly people, so they become conventional truths. Because both truths depend on the mind. In the face of clear understanding, both are false. Because it is said so. But it is not universally applicable. Just as the ultimate truth is established in reliance on the vision of the noble ones in meditative equipoise, the conventional truth is also established in reliance on the common acceptance and vision of the world. Illusions, mirages, etc., are not recognized as having a function in the world, and the speculations of the tirthikas cannot be used as a basis for verbal acceptance or rejection in the world. What one person imagines or sees as untrue is not what everyone imagines or sees. If it contradicts the verbal conventions of everyone, then the false part of what the previous person thought must be abandoned because it contradicts the common acceptance, as this treatise has explained. The statement "depends on the mind" can become a reverse argument. That quote is to show that when analyzing suchness, if both the correct and incorrect of the conventional are true, then the truth is the same, and if both are false, then the falsity is the same. And the quote here is only for the conventional, in accordance with the common acceptance of the world, to explain both the correct and incorrect aspects. The second point is, how can the object seen by someone with cataracts harm the wisdom without cataracts? Similarly, the mind that has abandoned stainless wisdom does not harm stainless wisdom. Here, when refuting other-origination, worldly direct perception does not cause harm. Because the distinction of conventional truth is to follow worldly people and describe truth and falsehood, not just to stay on the view of worldly people and follow it to refute other-origination, but the noble ones'
