I am thus. In a state without obscuration or obstruction, There is no change in the three times, Free from doubts of nihilistic or biased views. Emaho, self-mind is the Dharmakaya, The three bodies are spontaneously accomplished, free from effort. There is no direction or division between this and the other shore, Like the sky (150a), there is no beginning or end. Emaho, in the state of emptiness of self-mind, There is no object of focus inside or outside, It is neither anything nor clearly anything, In its essence, there is no elaboration, Possessing the nature of co-emergence, Equal to the minds of the Buddhas of the three times, The minds of all sentient beings without exception, The minds of all the Buddhas abiding on the ground. Originally unestablished, there is no birth, There is no going and no staying, There is no moving and no coming, There is no discernible place, no time. Emaho, rootless mind without foundation, Wherever you look in the ten directions, that is the nature, Experiencing various dreams, The illusory person deceives children, Enjoying pleasures in the city of Gandharvas, Distracted by the waves of mirages, Caught in the mouth of a demonic mirage, The wise do not see anything, The unwise children utter evil sounds, But in the essence of the true meaning, There is neither wise nor unwise, On the rainbow of empty space, There is no impact from hitting with a fist, The stars in the ocean, Cannot be caught even if filtered with silk. Emaho, the clear mind of self-awareness, Has never diminished since beginningless time, Extremely clear without day or night, Clear without wide or narrow, black or white, Demons, goblins, yakshas, etc., Even if countless billions of them, Have harmed me, This clear mind of self-awareness, No one can take it away, it is impossible. Even many sufferings such as hell, Cannot erase this clear self-awareness. Emaho (150b), uninterrupted mind, Even if sleeping, drunk, and careless, But in this ripened body, Even if beaten, bound, and killed, Submerged in water, burned in fire, And in animals, gods, humans, etc., Even if many bodies are abandoned, Except for being transferred to another place, Self-awareness has never become inanimate. If you realize the meaning of the original non-elaboration, The luminosity of conceptual thoughts subsides in its own place, The enemy of self-grasping destroys itself, Liberated in the realm of Nirvana, Samsara and Nirvana merge into equality, The demons of dualistic grasping are completely destroyed.

. Even when awakened from the sleep of ignorance, self-awareness has never become a rigid object. Emaho, the mind without substance, from the essence of self-awareness and self-illumination, there is nothing permanent or essential. It is free from size, length, and shortness, and lacks colors such as white, black, red, and yellow. It transcends form. There is no mind, nor is there anything beyond mind. Self-awareness is the very nature of the sky. It transcends existence and non-existence, speech, thought, and expression. It is free from examples and things to be exemplified. It is devoid of all relative phenomena. It is also devoid of whatever I have said. Emaho, the basis of all minds is one's own mind. Realizing it is the treasure of wisdom and great bliss. Not realizing it is the prison of suffering. If you want to approach the plain of great bliss, you must always rely on the lama and please him in various ways. Pray with faith, reverence, and longing, and generate the mind of enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. Let your own innate mind become clear. Do not engage in too much analysis and investigation. Relax and let go, and leave it as it is. (151a) Do not be distracted in the four postures of walking, standing, sitting, and lying down. Do not be attached to the objects of the six senses. Do not negate, but release directly and freely. These are the heartfelt words of the beggar Zhang. May whatever appears become a great companion on the path to liberation. Thus it is said. Some people doubt that the passage just quoted, which says that the nature of mind does not change, etc., seems to describe the ultimate truth of the mind's non-arising and non-ceasing as a Mind-Only (Cittamatra) view, and has not entered the tradition of the Middle Way (Madhyamaka). This is not the case. Taking the mind as an example, it explains that all phenomena of emptiness and dependent arising do not change because they lack their own inherent nature. Similarly, through relative establishment, anything that appears as a seemingly real phenomenon, such as one's own mind, can appear. This is precisely to explain the profound meaning of the Middle Way. So, why is this explanation only applied to the phenomena of the mind, and not to phenomena such as sprouts? It can also be applied to sprouts, etc., but it is specifically explained in relation to the mind because this seemingly real phenomenon is not independently established, but is imputed by the mind's conceptual thought. If one can understand that the mind has the nature of emptiness and dependent arising, then it is easy to understand that all other seemingly real phenomena are also like this. If one can realize that all phenomena are empty and dependently arising, one can understand that all phenomena are devoid of inherent existence, thereby transcending all characteristics of fabrication and attaining non-abiding nirvana.
