If one thinks that his words are not the three aspects that abide in the words of self-continuum, then who in this world is more foolish than that? Therefore, although the three aspects established by one's own system do not exist in reality, if one speaks of what is known as the measure of the three aspects known to others, and uses this to refute others, then this only appears to present the three aspects established by self-continuum to others. If it is established in this way, how will it change? Whether the opponent already knows or has not yet known, as long as it is what appears in the mind of the Madhyamika himself, the aspects of reason that can harm others, such as dharma, etc., the self-system of the Madhyamika himself, who accepts and states the words as they are with his own language, and the meaning referred to by the dharma, etc., stated in this way, the (79b) measure of the Madhyamika's own system, cannot be established in either of the two truths, therefore the Madhyamika does not establish his own system. In these two cases, what is said earlier as "the self-system of statement" is only nominally called self-system, but it does not refer to a meaningful self-system, because if it were, there would be the fault that the Madhyamika has a self-system. If the opponent of the Madhyamika does not only say the name of the sect spoken by the self-continuum, such as the three aspects, but prevents its phonetic combination, then it is impossible to distinguish when arguing with other sects, because it exists in those who want to have self-origination. When the consequentialist himself accepts and states the dharma that "birth is meaningless", there is no doubt that this is a sect that can prevent the wrong views of others at that time. Therefore, if someone proclaims loudly here that in order to prevent the wrong views of others, the three aspects known to others, which the Madhyamika himself accepts and states in language during debate, are completely absent in the sect of the consequentialist. Then, when the consequentialist and the realist debate, the respondent of the consequentialist will become an unconscious language, surpassing the sect that the consequentialist himself states in language, because there is no choice but to complete it with a language that does not involve the effort of a person. Therefore, in this case of debate, the words stated by the opponent himself, and the meaning of such a statement, are all his own sect.

Among the two self-established tenets in stating philosophical schools, the second one is based on not accepting it. Verbally stating the first self-established tenet is expressing the commitment of self-nature. Although stating it in this way does not establish the self-established tenet of self-nature, it is not harmful for the Madhyamaka-Prasaṅgika to accept their own three modes verbally or in speech, and it is wrong to insist that there is harm in this. This verbal expression is not an inappropriate act for the great ones of the snowy land, but it is a major deviation from the essential points of the Dharma when those with small wisdom mistake it for the supreme good saying. Furthermore, when the Prasaṅgika engages in refutation and establishment, they must only state the reasons stated by others, and not state their own reasoning. This statement is also not the sole view of the Prasaṅgika. Because the reasons stated by others are not good enough and cannot refute the other party, in situations where it is impossible to refute the other party, one should rely on the reasoning that arises in the mind of the Madhyamaka practitioner himself, establish reasonable reasons, and refute the other party's unreasonableness. If it is not like that, but one hopes that the bad reasons will harm others, and one also acknowledges and states it in this way, then one will also be tainted by faults. As stated by the teacher Chandrakirti, in the commentary on the ninth chapter of the Four Hundred Verses, the logicians say: "If the opponent admits that something has not arisen for the sake of a result, then it has arisen, because it is for the sake of a result, just like something that has arisen for the sake of a result." Here, let us temporarily assume that the opponent believes that the subtle particles of earth, water, fire, and wind do not possess arising and (80b) ceasing, like flowers in the sky, because they have no cause, so they are not existent. For these non-existent things, just like flowers in the sky, because they have no cause, existence itself is non-existent. For these non-existent things, if one fabricates a cause and proves arising, then it is also unreasonable to prove it to be impermanent, because one's own purpose of the result is not established. If one accepts what is established by others as a reason, then it will become too extreme. Because one has accepted an unreasonable phenomenon, one should refute the other party.
