Firstly, regarding the intent of the early proponents of the Prasangika school in the snowy land of Tibet, the explanations given by those who claim to be followers of the earlier proponents are not thorough understandings of the intent. To truly comprehend the intent of the early Prasangikas of Tibet and integrate it, is to abide in the intent of the teachers of the Prasangika and Svatantrika schools. The distinction between Prasangika and Svatantrika established by later generations is a newly created situation. The first point is that some Svatantrikas accept direct perception that can manifest external objects as a valid means of knowledge, and they also accept that it is a means of knowledge arising from the power of objects. Based on this, it is not merely accepting the views of others, but establishing it through one's own experience, relying on the accepted means of knowledge to establish emptiness, and refuting its opposite. Therefore, the Svatantrikas, in accordance with accepting the three differences in the means of knowledge that are the basis for refutation and establishment, the Prasangikas generally do not accept the means of knowledge that is the basis for refutation and establishment starting from emptiness (76a). If they do accept it, they do not accept the means of knowledge arising from the power of objects. Or, even if they accept the means of knowledge arising from the power of objects, there is no Svatantrika means of knowledge. Even so, the means of knowledge that is the basis for refuting and establishing the meaning of emptiness relies solely on the reputation of others. The Svatantrikas debate in accordance with the correct and similar modes of refutation and establishment of Dignaga and Dharmakirti, while the Prasangikas do not debate in accordance with that school's modes of refutation and establishment. If they debate in accordance with the modes of refutation and establishment of the school that asserts things, then you would have the fault of becoming a school that asserts things. The Prasangikas themselves have special modes of refutation and establishment that the school that asserts things does not have, namely: inference based on the reputation of others, the Prasangika of stating contradictions, the equality of reasons, the unestablishedness of the probandum being the same as the probans, and the absence of a Svatantrika commitment. Among these, the first four are like weapons that destroy the opponent, and the fifth is like armor that protects one's own side. There is something called "inference of reversed identity," which is a synonym for the equality of reasons. Also, the teachings of Zhangtang Sakyapa:

The fallacy of stating contradictions and the balance of equal reasons are the reasoning that refutes the other side, like the short spear of Vishnu; the proof being the same as what is to be proven is the reasoning that there is no own side, giving the name of own side to things that have no own side, protecting own side, like armor; the inference of fame to others is the reasoning that makes the two debaters into one continuum, like a witness. Thus it is said. Thus it is famous like the wind, and thus it is uttered. 1 1. Harsh speech, there is a little analysis of this: Although the teachers of the Svātantrika school created the valid cognition of direct perception of what is visible, and in front of what is visible, they regard what is visible as their own valid cognition, but that is not accepted as a correct valid cognition in the Madhyamaka school. In the Blaze of Reasoning, it says: Because, the Blessed One has taught: In that, in the conventional, the nature and characteristics of all phenomena are also established, but in the ultimate, it is said to be without nature. Thus also, Kauśika, all phenomena are empty of nature, and whatever is empty of nature is non-existent. Whatever is non-existent is the Perfection of Wisdom. Thus it is said, since even the thing itself does not exist, how can there be its nature? Therefore, there is no harm in promising. There is also no harm of direct perception, because the objects are false, and because the senses are foolish, even without the ability to see, etc., it is like a person with cataracts seeing hair and flies, etc., and like echoes, etc., direct perception is also arrogance, therefore, what appears to whom, and how can it cause harm? There is also no harm from fame, because the world is blinded by the darkness of ignorance, so when analyzing in the ultimate sense, it is like a blind person examining precious gems, unable to understand, so fame does no harm. Thus it is said, if direct perception does not truly exist, then inference does not truly exist, because all valid cognitions mainly depend on whether direct perception is established or not. Especially the Svātantrika school with the mind of the visible object and
