In terms of words, one establishes arising, etc., which are obtained by the measure of words. However, the consequentialist does not make any affirmation or negation in his own system regarding whether or not there is self-origination with inherent existence in both truths. Since I have not seen any elaboration of the measure that is the basis for such affirmation or negation (107b), arising is arising. If it arises, the fault is imputed by saying that it arises from the nature of which cause and effect exist. If the opponent argues in this way, he is arguing against whoever accepts it in this way, but for me, the consequentialist, there is little need to answer. It seems to be written like this. Fourth, if, according to the Madhyamika consequentialists, the পক্ষ (pakṣa, thesis), reason, and example that fall into the category of being established by one's own system are not established, then the inference of one's own continuum is not stated. Although the establishment of the meaning of the thesis refuting self-origination in one's own system and the inference established by the measure for both the proponent and the opponent do not eliminate the thesis of others such as the Samkhyas, it is still necessary to state the contradiction to the thesis of others such as the Samkhyas regarding self-origination, etc., by the inference of the proponent himself. Therefore, for that inference, the thesis and pervasion in the mind of the Samkhya himself must be free from the faults of reason and example. For that reason, since the sign and example established by one's own system are not stated, and since the fault of that thesis, i.e., the thorn, is not removed, if it is said that the sign and example for refuting others are not set forth after stating what is accepted as a measure by others, and the fault of not removing the thorn or fault in the thesis will become that very fault, then the answer to that will be stated. Not setting forth the sign and example established by one's own system, and the fault of not removing the fault of the thesis, and the fault of stating faults in this way by the power of what is known to others (108a) is not so. Why? For the sake of establishing self-origination, what is the meaning of self-origination? That which is posited by the Samkhya, because it is desired to generate certainty in others such as the Madhyamikas as the Samkhya himself is certain, this meaning is reasonable. The reasonableness of understanding through which means of proof, that is, stating to others for the sake of realizing that which is to be proven.

It should be so. Because it is necessary to refute, therefore, in the establishment of the Samkhya's own promised self-origination tenet, whatever only the opponent Samkhya needs to establish, this is temporarily the rule of the proponents of various schools. As it is said: Inferring for the sake of others makes one's own view clearer. Therefore, although the Samkhya itself does not have a valid proof, it is present for the Prasangika who does not want existence to arise. For the subject and example of the other's accepted sign that is entailed by self-origination, it is necessary to eliminate the fault of being too pervasive in the refutation. This statement is not a correct reason for the Samkhya to establish self-origination for other Prasangikas. Alternatively, in order to establish self-origination, because the respective causes are definite or non-existent, nothing will arise from non-existence, so it is necessary for existence to arise only from existence. This statement is also not a reason for other schools such as the Prasangika, and this is also one way of saying it. Because there is no example of one's own nature arising from one's own nature, therefore, in the establishment of the Samkhya's own promised tenet (108b), the subject, property, and pervasion are merely following the Samkhya's own promise, because in the conventional world, in their view, there is neither expression nor establishment, and everything that they want to establish and the means of establishing it are contrary to the world, but are newly created, therefore it is unreasonable. Because the subject without the means of establishment is admitted, this formulation of the Samkhya can only deceive the Samkhya itself, and cannot generate certainty about self-origination for other schools such as the Prasangika. This should be known. So, how should the Samkhya's view be refuted? Whatever the Samkhya itself establishes the meaning of its promise, because it is the same as what is to be established, it does not have the ability to establish what is to be established, and this is clearly the greatest refutation of the Samkhya's assertion of self-origination. Therefore, in this situation of refuting the Samkhya, what is the need to express harm with the inference of one's own system? There is no need. Furthermore, for the Samkhya, even if it is said to contradict the Samkhya's own system, it cannot definitely prevent self-origination from existing, nor can it definitely not establish it. If it cannot be established, then the teacher...
