Thus it is said, but you have not understood the reality of the two truths and are attached to the inverted, relying on terms such as existence and non-existence to accept and reject, and I will also speak in accordance with that intention. Therefore, it is not said that these mundane conventional objects are established in the Madhyamaka-Prasaṅgika system by the measure of conventional terminology, even in the conventional sense. For, just as in the conventional sense, the state of nirvana without remainder is not established by the measure of the term 'aggregate'. As it is said: 'Just as those who have abandoned the aggregates and entered into peace, the Arhats, do not have it, so if it does not exist in the world, then I do not say that these things exist even more than the world.' (96a) Just as when Arhats enter the realm of nirvana without remainder of aggregates, all of them do not have conventional existence, so if it is not established in the world, then I do not say that these things exist like the aggregates of Arhats, even in relation to the world. Therefore, I acknowledge the conventional through the door of dependence on others, but not independently. So it is. Furthermore, the Prasaṅgika does not establish the three aspects of subject, property, and reason, etc., of the mundane conventional objects of its own system, which are established by the measure of terminology. However, in making statements about them, it only speaks in accordance with what is commonly accepted by worldly people. If, like you, the proponent of realism, you establish conventional objects as being established in your own system through analysis and the measure of terminology, then you must acknowledge that there are many terminologies that contradict what is commonly accepted in the world and are not established even conventionally. In that case, let the proponent of realism argue with the worldly people who do not say so. When arguing in this way, in terminology, whatever has the result of acceptance and rejection, I, the Prasaṅgika, will also follow it for the sake of terminology. As it is said: 'However, acceptance is only taken from the world, therefore, by whom it is accepted, one should reject in relation to that, not in relation to another.' So it is said. If the world does not harm you, you should look to the world.

(96b) Please refute this! Argue with this world! Afterwards, I will rely on powerful strength. We are in a very difficult situation in order to refute the worldly conventions. Eliminate the worldly conventions! If the world does not harm you, I will put pressure on you. The harm of the world is also like that, so one should rely on neutrality. Argue with this world! If you win at that time, then afterwards this is exactly what we desire, so we will rely on you. However, if you are defeated by the world, then at that time I will rely on the very powerful world itself. So it is said. Furthermore, the Prasangikas do not assert that there is a valid cognition of the realists and the three aspects of sign, property, and object that are established as appearing concordant. As it is said: All those things that are like images do not have their own characteristics, nor do they have the characteristics of universals. What are direct perception and inference? Here, direct perception is only one, which is the wisdom of the all-knowing. So it is said. In particular, this teacher never asserts that the three aspects of sign, property, and object, which are established by the two truths, by the intellect that relies on the two truths, and by conventional valid cognition, will come to be established in accordance with the world. As it is said: The Buddhas never taught that there is any thing. So it is said. Then, your search for that (97a) itself is for the sake of relying on the words of others in the world to eliminate the wrong views of the world. Is it to be thought that the three aspects of sign, property, and object, which are established by the conventional valid cognition of the world, are established as appearing concordant, just as the people of the world think, and that the Madhyamika Prasangikas must also acknowledge this? Because he knew in advance that such a wrong view would arise, he gave an answer in the manner of a future prophecy that does not pervade this. That is, when searching for that itself, all the affirmations and negations of what is to be established and what establishes that itself, while not yet established as a valid cognition, either transcendent or non-transcendent, self-contained or independent.
