This, all will enter correctly. If not, the basis will not be established. How should one answer such questions? I do not deny the nature of appearance, therefore, the establishment of the proponent and the object to be proven is not confused. All terms of inference and what is to be inferred are abandoned as different subjects generated by mutually incompatible tenets (93a), but rely on the nature of appearance to the consciousness of the senses such as eyes and ears of scholars, women, and children, and enter into the subject of sound and so on. If not, the basis of all reasons for wanting to prove smoke and existence, fire and impermanence, etc., will not be established, because the nature of the subject of the proponent, the limb, and the qualities of space, etc., are not established. In that case, the subject of the example that possesses both qualities will also not be established. If others also acknowledge such terms of proponent and proponent, then what is the use of the fame of surpassing scholars? Like this, one does not look at one's own side, but only grasps the faults of the other side. I also do not exclude the nature of appearance to the consciousness of the senses such as eyes, but if examined with wisdom and prajna, like the trunk of a water tree, not even a little essence is seen, therefore it is not considered the ultimate truth. Therefore, not preventing the meaning of appearance itself, there is no harm in saying that all phenomena that enter into the proponent and the name of the proponent without attachment are without self-nature. As it is said: "If one does not rely on the sixth consciousness, then terms are easily established, and if one is proficient in terms, then one is not confused about the meaning of the scriptures." Just like that. And, in the Root Commentary on the Two Truths, it says: "Thus, in the knowledge of both the proponent and the opponent, how much of the appearing part there is, relying on that much (93b), one understands the subject, the dharma, and so on. At that time, inference arises, when it is not in other places, therefore, who would prevent those who speak reason from saying these words? The terms of inference and what is to be inferred are the parts that appear in the wisdom of the proponent and the opponent, and the subject, the dharma, and the example itself are established.

Because inference cannot arise since it is not established for both the subject and the property, etc. It is not so in other cases, because those who abide in different systems do not have the same understanding of anything. Those who abide in such a subject must acknowledge that it is only through such reasons, etc., that they can correctly contemplate whether it exists or not. Therefore, if a rational person also makes such an inference, who would prevent it? Because this has been determined to be the same, there will be no increase in length here. It is said. Therefore, the later teachers of the Svātantrika school say that since the subject and its property, etc., are not jointly established by the two opponents, they are held as objects of dispute, like sprouts, etc., which appear in the unexamined consciousness of both opponents. And the Prāsaṅgikas consider that since the subject and its property established by the Svātantrikas cannot be jointly established by the two opponents, the subject and its property, etc., spoken of by other worlds are objects of dispute, and the second opponent also repeats them in accordance with the proponent. This statement is only different in wording, but the focus of thought is the same. Therefore, regarding the way of proving and what is to be proven of the profound emptiness, (94a) The views of the teachers of the Prāsaṅgika and Svātantrika schools are not inconsistent, because they are all great Bodhisattvas who directly see the truth of Dharmatā and place all sentient beings in it. Even so, the slight difference in wording is like a skilled doctor giving different medicines such as sweet and sour to patients suffering from various diseases to cure them. For those with various substantial grasps, teaching the Dharma in different ways eradicates various substantial grasps. With this infinite way of teaching the Dharma, who would doubt that the views of these teachers are inconsistent? Therefore, all the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, heroes, Ḍākinīs, Dharma protectors, guardians of the ten directions and three times, and all the noble assemblies, have the same understanding in the profound Dharmadhātu free from elaboration. And all the unspeakable words that express it are also one voice, one throat. Thus spoke the all-knowing Victor, the protector, the lord of the three realms, Drigungpa.
