If it is not like that, then for things that are permanent and things that are non-existent and cut off, because of being separated from correct wisdom, one will not comprehend the Dharma called emptiness. Since such a cut-off emptiness does not possess any object, it is not established to say that the object of consciousness is emptiness, which is empty of all concepts, and is neither the same nor different from it, and exists there. If that were established, then for a golden vase, the emptiness that is empty of a vase of rabbit horns, just as the action of a golden vase is impermanent, it would be reasonable to say that it exists there, in a way that cannot be said to be the same or different. Those who speak of the meaning of words as real say that whatever exists as a real object is not empty of its own nature. Non-existent things, in terms of knowable objects, have never been established with their own nature as a basis, and to speak of them as the meaning of emptiness (175a), then, for those who say that things are permanent and non-existent are cut off, the mind is not even slightly inclined towards the profound principle of emptiness. If whatever exists and does not exist in reality exists and is established, then what will be called emptiness? Because from that emptiness, where does the non-empty exist? If you are not afraid of the Dharma of permanence and annihilation in reality, then your liking for the Dharma called emptiness is only to please the gods. In particular, if you think that the emptiness of non-existence possesses existence, then if the arrangement of existence possessing non-existence is like that, then what is the possessor of such possession, existence or non-existence? Or is it a substance of possession that is both existent and non-existent? If you speak like this, etc., then it is like the Lokayata, shameless. Therefore, in this land of snow (Tibet), too, they claim to speak in the manner of the Prasangika Madhyamaka, and for the existence of a vase, the non-existence of the vase is unreal, and that non-existence is the same as the existence of the vase, just as action is impermanent, then how can there be a non-existent Dharma on existence? If non-existence and existence become one entity, then how can non-existence become non-existence? You must think carefully! Please become the owner of Nirvana! Like the Mind-Only school, etc., if you do not abide in the bad place of the nature of the Alaya consciousness, you will become Nirvana, they promise. If that is the case, since you have promised a real Nirvana, whoever speaks of things as real (175b)

If there is no nirvana, there will be no opportunity for non-abiding nirvana to arise, which shows that hope is fruitless. Third, abandoning what contradicts the conventional, what contradicts the seen, and what contradicts the law of cause and effect. First, the conventional is not established by analysis, and if analyzed, then both truths will be free from elaboration. The first point is: because if these things are analyzed, they themselves cannot find a place outside of the entity with substance, therefore the worldly terms should not be analyzed. When the noble yogi abides in the ultimate truth, it is reasonable to deny the birth of self and other, because there is no birth there. But in the conventional, the entity of its own characteristics will undoubtedly arise from others, because form etc. can be observed by direct perception and inference. If it is not admitted that the conventional is established by valid cognition, then the two truths will not be spoken, but will only become one truth. If one cannot think that there is only one truth, then it can be proved that other-birth exists in the conventional. If someone asks, saying that the two truths are also established relatively, not that they are established as two truths and then established as two, then at the time of relative establishment, there are also two truths, truth and falsehood, but no one in the world will believe in the contradictory statement of "false truth". Therefore, in order to comply with the minds of those who believe that "truth is true" and that there is no self-contradictory statement, I just say in accordance with the world that "false is not true, therefore what is not false is true." But the Prasangikas do not think that there is only one truth in their own system, (p.176) because if you analyze it a little in the nominal, you will also say that there is only one truth. As the Blessed One said: "In the ultimate, there are no two truths, monks, this supreme truth is only one, that is, the non-deceptive nature of nirvana. All formations are false and have the nature of deception." For example, in order to comply with the world, in the conventional, also according to whether the temporary cause of confusion is contaminated or not, it is considered that the uncontaminated conventional part is the only truth in the conventional, and the other part is not considered true in the conventional, so it returns to the original point.
