If one thinks like that, then its characteristic, whether the thing is existent or non-existent, whether it is a hair-illusion or not, whether its color is blue like a peacock feather, do not think like that. Therefore, for someone with impure eyes, if someone with pure eyes says that there is no hair-illusion in this container (162b), then the speaker has no fault of slander. The reality of hair-illusions etc. is that in whatever container, what is seen by someone with pure eyes, that is its reality. What is seen by someone with impure eyes is not its reality. Similarly, when distinguishing the two truths, because ignorance does not see the reality, therefore clinging to the aggregates etc. is conventional truth. One should understand that the complete enlightenment, free from the darkness of ignorance, does not see the aggregates etc. like hair-illusions, but sees its own nature, and that is the ultimate truth. Therefore, in the realm of the Buddha, the defilement of the two kinds of ignorance is completely eliminated, and the appearance of conventional phenomena does not arise, which is the unique view of the Prasangika school. Then, does the complete enlightenment not see the aggregates etc. like hair-illusions? Not seeing anything at all is said to be seeing its true state. For example, regarding the doubt of whether one can write in the sky, because one has not seen that one can write, one understands that one cannot write, just like that. In the Sutra of the Holy One Entering the Two Truths, it says: 'Son of the gods, if the ultimate truth were the nature of the objects of body, speech, and mind, then it would not be counted as the ultimate truth, but would only be conventional truth. However, son of the gods, if the ultimate truth is beyond all expressions, without distinctions, unborn, unceasing, and separated from what can be said, what is said, what can be known, and what is known. Son of the gods, the ultimate truth (163a) is beyond the limits of the objects of the omniscient wisdom that possesses all the supreme aspects, and saying it like that is not the ultimate truth. All phenomena are false, they are deceptive phenomena. Son of the gods, the ultimate truth cannot be shown. Why is that? Because all the phenomena that show, what is shown, and from where it is shown, all of these are unborn in the ultimate sense. Unborn phenomena cannot show unborn phenomena.'

cannot be described. It is widely stated like this. Therefore, in that very suchness, the distinctions such as things and non-things that are its objects, one's own things and others' things, truth and untruth, permanence and cessation, permanence and impermanence, happiness and suffering, purity and impurity, self and selflessness, emptiness and non-emptiness, characteristics and bases, oneness and otherness, arising and ceasing, etc., are impossible, because its own nature is not ascertained. Therefore, only the noble ones are reliable for contemplating that very suchness, not the non-noble ones. Such extensive explanation is because ultimate truth is not the object of consciousness, and all aggregates of consciousness, mind, thought, and mental factors cannot tolerate even a moment's passing away when entering ultimate truth, except for pacification. As it is said: Ultimate truth is not the realm of consciousness, consciousness is considered to be conventional truth. (163b) So it is said. This principle should be regarded as the life essence of all definitive meanings of Sutra and Tantra, which cannot be surpassed. This is the Dharma tradition of non-mentation, beyond consciousness, of the Great Seal, transmitted closely from the venerable Saraha and the glorious Shavari Lord to the venerable Marpa, Mila, and others. Later, what made this Dharma tradition most clear was the countless instructions on the definitive meaning of Sutra and Tantra, the non-mentation Great Seal, which Avalokiteshvara Mitra Yogi imparted to Khrophu Lotsawa. Nowadays, many people agree that this system is the tradition of the Chinese Heshang. How can those who say such things have a heart in their chest, eyes on their forehead, and memory in their brain? Second, the reason why the world is not a valid measure. Therefore, the world cannot harm it. Incidentally, it shows the object that the world harms. First, if the world were a valid measure, then, what need would there be for other noble ones who see the world itself? What would the path of the noble ones do? Fools should not be considered a valid measure either. If, at this time of analysis, the world's view is a valid measure, then, as a subject, the noble one who proclaims it

What need is there for others to know what is necessary or unnecessary? Because worldly people see the reality of things as established by valid cognition, thereby abandoning irrationality. In response to this, no Madhyamika has emerged to offer a reply. Regarding the way to establish the sign, the Gelugpas' statement that "worldly people see the reality of things as established by valid cognition" does not mean that the reality of things that function in the conventional is established by nominal valid cognition, if it is valid cognition. Rather, it means that worldly people establish the true appearance that is the negation of the sign by worldly valid cognition (164a), if it is valid cognition. Therefore, for true appearance, there are two types: the true appearance of the object of mistaken attachment to conventional phenomena, and the true appearance of things that are not mistaken, which are merely capable of functioning. The former is to be abandoned, and the latter is the true establishment to be taken as the basis for acceptance and rejection. Therefore, according to our way of establishing the sign, the sign and pervasion can be established. If it is not like that, according to the way the ancients established the sign, the sign and pervasion of that syllogism cannot be established. Followers, after embellishing it with many details, say that this method is the tenet of the Madhyamaka-Prasangika, and it is the warm nectar of the speech of the venerable Manjushri. But that is not very pleasing to me. If that were the case, for conventional truth, there are two truths: the true appearance established by nominal valid cognition, where the minds of worldly people become valid cognition, and the true appearance that is the object of mistaken attachment. And in addition to that, there is the ultimate truth, which is different from these, so there are a total of three truths. If Acharya Chandrakirti, in following the world, distinguishes the two truths, it would not appear as "things, attainment, and nature are the two that are grasped," but rather it would appear as "things, attainment, and nature are the three that are grasped." And in those root texts and commentaries, it would be reasonable for the classification of the three truths to appear. Furthermore, there is also a change here. If "the world is valid cognition," then this worldly valid cognition, other than the twelve internal and external sources that have not been harmed by immediate causes of delusion, the worldly (164b) valid cognition, the world that you have established as the object of negation of the sign, is acceptable. If that were the case, such a worl
