Here, just as grasping the generalities of dharma and dharmī, when a Madhyamaka establishes the non-origination of self for the Samkhyas, will they also grasp only the locus of origination among the dharmī, abandoning the distinction between truth and falsehood? The answer is: Grasping the generalities of dharmī is not reasonable as stated by Lekhden, just as among the realists, grasping the generalities of sound objects, abandoning permanence and impermanence, the proponent and opponent can find a common ground for establishment, so it is impossible for Madhyamikas and realists to find a common appearance of such objects in which to establish a common ground, because if it exists, the object itself must be established as the object of ultimate and conventional reality, and as such, in the objects of the two truths, it is not established by its own nature in the two truths, but is emptiness, because the Madhyamikas say so. This reason is promised by the great scholar Lekhden, because those scholars are Madhyamikas who believe that dharma in both truths is devoid of the nature of substantially existent objects. Lekhden says that when preventing the origination of self in the Samkhyas, when the prevention of origination is considered as the dharma to be established, the locus of origination among the dharmī, which is only the basis for inferring only non-origination, is only the nature of the object of the locus of origination among the dharmī of the inverted consciousness of conventionality, and the non-inverted consciousness, the wisdom of the noble equipoise, does not establish such a dharmī as a substantially existent object in the two truths, but falls away from the real dharma, which Lekhden himself acknowledged (119a). The inverted nominal consciousness, such as the locus of origination within the realm of the conventional measurer, and the non-inverted noble consciousness that realizes what is, such as the absence of elaboration within the realm of the ultimate measurer, are different in the face of mistaken and non-mistaken consciousness. In the realm of inverted consciousness, the object of knowledge is also only inverted, and the object of knowledge in the realm of non-inverted consciousness will never change, therefore, for example, when the eye consciousness of a person with cataracts perceives hair and so on, just as it grasps the absence of inversion, the consciousness with an inverted realm has an inverted realm.

When clinging to non-existence as existence, how can there be an object for non-inverted knowledge, or even a small part of the meaning that exists in nominal entities? In the realm of non-inverted consciousness, allowing the manifestation of non-inverted knowables, just as a blind person does not see hair, etc., even when a Madhyamika does not impute non-reality with non-inverted consciousness, in that case, such non-inverted reasoning, because it does not impute the knowable as existing when it does not, how can that wisdom, in reality, have even a small part of the meaning of hair-like objects that appear as conventional inner sources, but do not exist? Eyes, etc., the ultimate truth, should not be established as subjects, because they are not established by the three: convention, reason, and the wisdom of the noble ones. Because the subject encompassed by the two truths is not established by non-inverted consciousness. (119b) The teacher said: If others, with valid cognition such as direct perception, can perceive some basis of things, then on that basis, establishing the Dharma of emptiness and selflessness, or refuting the Dharma of non-emptiness and self, seeing such affirmation and negation, Nagarjuna does not do, so I have no dispute. Thus it is said. Because of what was just said, thus the consciousness and the knowable, non-inverted and non-inverted, are different. The reality of non-inversion, the state of reasoning that examines it, in that reality, because the pervasiveness of the object is non-inverted, how can its pervaded, becoming a subject, the conventional inner source of the eye, exist? For this reason, the fault of the subject not being established, and the fault of the reason not being established, are unavoidable, therefore, saying that clinging to it as the general characteristic of the commonly established eye as a subject, this saying is not established, so saying not established, this is not a response. At this time, having become disciples of the Shakya King, all the Madhyamikas who follow the great Madhyamika Chandrakirti, please listen to me. The great teacher Chandrakirti said to the great teacher Lektan:
