Furthermore, it is unreasonable not to accept svatantra. In this way, we, the Prasangikas, no matter which of the two accumulations we engage in, we never accept svatantra that is established by our own system of valid cognition for both truths, but we widely accept the subsequent expression of svatantra that is expressed by others, which becomes a good explanation. When you Prasangikas engage in the accumulation of merit, you accept svatantra. When you engage in the other one, you do not accept it. This expectation of the subtle points of the wise is like saying that when the sky is dried by the sun, one does not admit diarrhea, but when it is soaked by the rain, one admits diarrhea. What is the difference? Secondly, it reveals that Lektan himself has the fault of contradicting his own commitments. That is, stating Lektan's system, and stating many faults in it, and combining the stated faults with Lektan's own commitments. The first is: Furthermore, this Lektan logician, because he wants to show others that he is only very skilled in logical treatises (116a), while admitting the Madhyamaka view that all dharmas are emptiness and selflessness, he also realizes that the svatantra that establishes it, or the expression of the syllogism established by his own system of valid cognition, is a place of a collection of many faults. How is it? In this regard, for the time being, when preventing the arising of self here, the statement that becomes a svatantra syllogism is: In terms of ultimate truth, the internal sources of arising are definitely not born from self, because they exist. For example, just like the existence of consciousness. It is written like this. Here, wanting to show others that he is skilled in logical treatises is in accordance with the idea that the logician who clings to incorrect reasoning is mentioned above, so it is said that in the logic of the realists, when making refutations and establishments, there is a great increase in the fault of incorrect reasoning that establishes the refutations and establishments themselves as true. In this way, establishing the proponent's thesis of one's own system, and establishing the reason of one's own system, is the system of wise people, because it exists in logical treatises, so in order to establish its tenets, as the Madhyamikas who speak correctly, when not holding any proponent's side of one's own system, Lektan, even in the names of the establisher and the established, also

I connect in that way. Second, in this case, why is the qualifier "You, the skillful one, ultimate truth" placed on the qualifier of dharma or the qualified? If it is a qualifier of dharma, there are three faults. First, if the world conventionally (116b) acknowledges arising from self, the Madhyamikas should not refute it; and if they refute arising in the conventional sense, it would be a fault because the Madhyamikas only acknowledge arising from self in the conventional sense. Therefore, is the word "ultimate truth" added? This is not reasonable, because the Madhyamikas do not even acknowledge arising from self in the conventional sense. As it is said in the Rice Seedling Sutra: "The sprout that arises from the seed cause, when it arises, is not made by me, not made by others, not made by both, not made by Ishvara, not transformed by time, not born from atoms, not born from nature, not born from no cause." Similarly, in the Extensive Play Sutra it says: "If there is a seed, it is like a sprout. Whatever is the seed, the sprout is not that. It is not different from that, and that is not that. Thus, it is neither continuous nor permanent, it is the nature of dharma." And in this root text it says: "Whatever arises dependent on whatever, that is temporarily not that, nor is it different from that, therefore it is neither discontinuous nor permanent." This is how it is explained. When worldly people conventionally rely on conventional arising, etc., to enter into worldly expressions, the Madhyamikas agree with the world, follow their speech, and when making worldly expressions, because they do not prevent mere arising in front of them, how could worldly people think that in the conventional sense it arises from self? How would the Madhyamikas ever say that it arises from self in the conventional sense? Therefore, adding the word "ultimate truth" to the object to be refuted is irrelevant. Second, if it is considered that other Samkhyas hold that in the ultimate truth (117a) it arises from self, and it is made a qualifier of ultimate truth, that is also unreasonable, because the Madhyamikas do not even acknowledge the establishments of those Samkhyas in the conventional sense. Because they have fallen away from seeing the two truths as they are, the views of the tirthikas, in whatever way, are both of the two truths.
