It is reasonable to establish existence. Because there is the proposition of refuting distinctions there. If that proposition exists, then what exactly can it completely sever? Because there, relying on a valid means of cognition, during the period after distinguishing but before completely severing, it eliminates the three aggregates. If you say it is not pervasive, then there is no reason for it not to be pervasive, because it is dependent on similarity. A consequentialist in terms of verbal meaning, in the conventional, establishes the conventional dharma with a conventional valid cognition, and if there is a Madhyamika who says that there is a valid cognition with an unerring apprehension that accords with the reality of such a dharma, then he will not become a true Madhyamika. Is that valid cognition with an unerring apprehension established as the nature of validity in the conventional, or is it not established? If it is not established, then it is not a valid cognition even in the conventional. If it is established, then what the Madhyamika's reasoning refutes is the nature of the conventional that has been acknowledged in the conventional, so what is the point of being busy with base actions while sitting in the ranks of the noble? Third, when one does not establish one's own system as validly established, when a Madhyamika who speaks in this way, when the inference in his own mind is inexpressible. Other Samkhyas have faults in their propositions and signs, such as: What is the meaning of the proposition "I am unborn"? Does it mean that "I" is not produced from the nature of the result? Or does it mean that it is not produced from the nature of the cause? What will happen from that? If it is said that it is not produced from the nature of the result, then what is the use of proving what is already established? If it is said that it is not produced from the nature of the cause, then it will become a contradictory meaning, because all those who have birth exist in the nature of the cause, and that is why they are produced. To which consequentialist should one speak and need to eliminate these faults? There is no need to eliminate that fault, because even though he said the refutation "I am unborn" in order to refute our assertion that the self-birth is established by valid cognition, he did not establish that the self (107a) system's self-birth is not established by valid cognition. Where would there be a self-continuum proposition like "the internal sources of birth are not produced from the self" that the Samkhyas would refute? Similarly, for us

Then, to prove something that is already established, or to become the very meaning of contradiction. In order to avoid what it means to prove something that is already established, and what the very meaning of contradiction is, one strives to do so, because there is such a situation, where is the reason established in this way by one's own system of valid cognition? If there is no such thing, how can one avoid that fault? Just as there is no need to protect against hail when there is no crop. Because of the aforementioned reason, one will not fall into the fault mentioned by others, therefore, the master Buddhapālita does not need to answer the statement that "proving something that is already established" and "what is to be proven and what proves are contradictory." Here, in ancient old documents, the Svātantrikas, in order to avoid this fault, say that cause and effect do not arise from the nature of two self-existent entities, but we Madhyamikas arise from false, illusory things, and such arising is not contradictory to the arising of dependent origination. For that arising, if analyzed in this way with reason, arising cannot be established, but when speaking of conventional truth, one establishes the arising etc. that are obtained by the valid cognition of conventional truth. And the Prāsaṅgikas have not made any affirmation or negation regarding whether or not there is self-existent entity arising in both truths, and because they have not seen any elaboration of the valid cognition that is the basis for such affirmation and negation (107b), arising is arising. If arising, then the fault is pointed out by saying that it arises from which of the natures of cause and effect, and the one who points out the fault is pointing out the fault to what he himself acknowledges, and for me, the Prāsaṅgika, the need to answer is very small. This is written. Fourth, if according to the view of the Madhyamika Prāsaṅgikas, since the subject, reason, and example of one's own system of valid cognition are not established, one does not express the Svātantrika inference. Although one has not eliminated the commitments of other Sāṃkhyas etc. with the inference that is established by valid cognition for both the proponent and the opponent in order to establish the meaning of the commitment to refute self-arising in one's own system, however, for the commitments of others such as self-arising of the Sāṃkhyas etc., it is necessary to express the contradiction with the inference of the one who makes the commitment himself, therefore, that inference is directed towards the mind of the Sāṃkhya himself, and establishes the reason for the commitment and pervasion etc.
