The entity is not something to be eliminated. If examined with wisdom and discernment, like the trunk of a water tree, not even a little essence is visible, therefore it is not considered the ultimate truth. Therefore, not negating the meaning of appearance itself is the establishment of non-apprehension, and all phenomena to which the term 'establishment' applies are said to be without inherent existence, without any harm. As it is said, 'If one does not rely on the sixth consciousness, then conventional truth is easily established. If one is skilled in conventional truths, then one is not confused about the meaning of the scriptures.' And in the commentary on the Two Truths, it says: 'Thus, in the knowledge of both disputants, however much of the aspect of appearance there is, relying on that much, one distinguishes the subject, the predicate, and so on. At that time, inference arises. When is it not so? Therefore, who would prevent those who speak reasonably from saying so? The terms 'inference' and 'that which is to be inferred' are established in the minds of the proponent and opponent as the subject, predicate, and example. Because inference cannot arise when both the subject and the predicate are not established. If it is not so, then those who abide in different systems have no common understanding whatsoever. Those who abide in such a subject should acknowledge that only such reasons can correctly consider whether something exists or does not exist. Therefore, if those who speak reasonably also make inferences in this way, who would prevent it? This has been determined to be the same, so it will not be elaborated on here.' Thus it is said. Therefore, later teachers of the Svatantrika school say that because the subject and its properties, etc., cannot be jointly established by both disputants, the sprouts, etc., that appear in the unexamined knowledge of both disputants are held as the object of debate. The Prasangikas say that because the subject and its properties established by the Svatantrikas cannot be jointly established by both disputants, the subject spoken of by others in the world, and its properties, etc., are the object of debate, and the second disputant also repeats it in agreement with the opponent. Saying this is only a difference in wording, but the focus of their minds is the same. Therefore, the establishment of the profound emptiness.

Concerning the method of accomplishment (94a) The masters of Svatantrika and Prasangika do not have different views, because they are all great Bodhisattvas who directly see the truth of Dharma-nature and place all sentient beings in it. However, the slight differences in wording are like a skilled doctor giving different medicines such as sweet and sour to patients suffering from various diseases to cure them. For those with various substantial attachments, teaching the Dharma in different ways eradicates various substantial attachments. Therefore, who would doubt that the views of these masters differ because of the infinite ways of teaching the Dharma? Therefore, all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions and three times, heroes, dakinis, Dharma protectors, guardians, and all the noble assemblies have the same understanding of the profound Dharma-realm beyond conceptual elaboration, and all the inexpressible words that express it are also of one tone and one voice. It is excellent as said by the all-knowing savior, the Lord of the Three Realms, Drigungpa. The third is the explanation of the differences between the Svatantrika and Prasangika views in the Madhyamaka tradition established by the great Tsongkhapa, who personally relied on Manjushri. Here, the words of his son Khedrup Je are quoted: The Prasangika believes that as a subject, the measurable, which is established by its own characteristics, and the measure of measurement do not exist even in conventional terms. In this respect, it is impossible for the subject to be established by measurement, so it is impossible for both the proponent and the opponent to reach a consensus. But in general, the subject is established by measurement for both the proponent and the opponent, and the subject and the similar qualities, etc. (94b) For the opponent's view, the reason established based on the promise established by measurement is the inference of other commonalities, and merely through the Prasangika, others can generate the realization of non-reality. The Svatantrika, on the other hand, from the way the object abides, the attainment of not being confused about the measurable established by its own characteristics, the views of both the proponent and the opponent agree that on the basis of the subject, the Dharma to be established that the previous opponent wanted to measure is established as the reason for the establishment, which is the meaning of the characteristic of Svatantrika. It seems to be explained in this way. Also, the words of his son Gongru Gyaltsang are: The three of characteristic, Dharma, and meaning
