Although the common emptiness of Sutra and Tantra, there is no profound difference between Sutra and Tantra on emptiness, but either Sutra or Tantra, they only presume to measure emptiness with the wisdom of hearing and thinking, measuring only the general characteristics of emptiness. Unlike the Vajrayana school, from the dependent arising that binds body and mind, through the path of meditation-born, directly establishing emptiness, it does not possess such essence. Apart from that, how can meditating on the emptiness of analyzing and meditating on aggregates etc., obstruct the path to liberation? If that were the case, the Sugata himself would refute himself with his own words. Saying that the great master Chandrakirti was a Pandit of the time of strife is also contradictory to your own view. Because in your own book it is written: The four times should be well distinguished and well explained. The four great times are the good and bad of the kalpa time, The four small times are the good and bad of the doctrine. The first year is four million, Three hundred and thirty thousand (330b) one-tenth of twenty thousand, Is called a foot. It is said that one foot and two feet, Three feet and four feet are respectively the time of strife, The double time, the triple time, and the perfect time. The four small times are the good and bad of the doctrine: Until twenty-one thousand six hundred years, One-fourth of it is the measure of the four times respectively. Without defects and with complete merits is the Dharma of the perfect time. From then on, one-fourth decline is the upper triple time. If half declines, it becomes the lower triple time. The remainder of three-fourths decline is the double time. If there is not even one-fourth, it is the time of strife, It is said to be the Dharma of Asuras, barbarians, and blacks. It seems to be said like this. Although such a way of establishing the four times can be examined, but because it is not the issue to be discussed at the moment, the examination is abandoned. In this way, if that small four times is divided into four parts, each part is five thousand four hundred years, therefore, according to the Sutra school, the Buddha Shakyamuni's doctrine is also said to exist only five thousand years after the passing away of the World Honored One. In this way, even according to the current Kalachakra calendar, only two thousand years have passed since the Nirvana of Shakyamuni Buddha. The time of strife will appear sixteen thousand two hundred years after the Nirvana of the World Honored One. According to the Sutra school, the master Chandrakirti should appear long after the decline of the doctrine of Shakyamuni Buddha.

Four hundred years after the passing of the Buddha, the protector Nāgārjuna appeared. Lord Atiśa said that the glorious Chandrakīrti directly attended on the protector Nāgārjuna. Therefore, since Chandrakīrti appeared in India before the end of the perfect age that you desire, admitting that Chandrakīrti was a paṇḍita who appeared in the age of strife is also a perfect refutation of your own pledge with your own words. Furthermore, if your doctrine is the Dharma of the perfect age of the lords of the clans of Shambhala, then such a doctrine should have been transmitted by all the Tibetan translators and paṇḍitas who translated the Kālacakra, but since it was not known up to your root guru, the omniscient Yönten Gyatso, did you go to the lords of the clans, or did the lords of the clans come here to teach? There is no other possibility. Or, you must be an incarnation of the lords of the clans, so if all these contradictory lies are honest and meaningful words, that would be fine. Otherwise, if you are speaking of the definitive meaning, then all mundane dharmas are subjects, and it follows that they are other-empty. Because the unerringness of cause and effect is true as it appears to the minds of ordinary beings in conventional truth. If it is not established, then ordinary beings do not need to properly accept and reject cause and effect in conventional truth. Because that is what is desired. If it is not pervasive, then ordinary beings also need to properly guard against falling from a rabbit's horn ladder in conventional truth. Because in conventional truth, cause and effect and rabbit horns are equally untrue as they appear to the mind. If that is the case for cause and effect, then the same should be true for the other, and it will be the same until the end of the kalpa. Furthermore, the ultimate meaning is a subject, and it follows that it is self-empty. Because the ultimate truth is whatever appears to the minds of worldly people, and it is untrue as it appears. If you think that the first reason is not established, then you will not be able to show your worldly (331b) students the ultimate truth distinguished by other-emptiness, unconditionedness, permanence, etc., because such a basis of distinction, the ultimate truth, cannot permanently appear to the minds of worldly people. If you accept that, then all the effort you put into this Dharma, what else is it but a cause for despair for yourself? Furthermore, the object of conventional truth is a subject, and it follows that it is not mistaken. Because it is true as it appears as one and many to the consciousness that has the world as its object.
