Because of the validity of transformation, form and feeling, etc., also do not exist. If it is admitted that they, like nocturnal emissions, etc., also do not exist conventionally, but this is not the case, so this is not existent. This establishment based on dependence has also been extensively explained in the Madhyamakāvatāra, and should be sought from there. Therefore, the consequentialists refute the five schools of logic of the outsiders and the Jainas, etc., of the insiders, who falsely accuse the four extremes of birth, etc., of the two truths and speak of permanence and annihilation. The consequentialists merely take those (views) that are considered valid by the innate wisdom of such speakers and in the tenets, and that are nominally established as valid by the power of acceptance, as the basis for words of refutation and establishment, thereby destroying their evil thoughts of wrong discrimination, which is like letting the executioner cut off his own life. When refuting and establishing based on such reasoning, the consequentialists, only in order to convince the opponent, put forward consequences that may or may not be established in accordance with what is accepted by others, as well as the arguments for those consequences, and separately argue each aspect, thereby putting forward the words of subsequent inference, and stating the thesis and arguing for its rationality. Even if these exist, the consequentialist will not become a Svātantrika proponent. If one only says that one is a Madhyamika, then with respect to the two truths, whatever does not admit the valid proof (88a) and the object to be proven that are established by one's own system of valid cognition, since one does not admit these, then in order to refute the opponent's wrong discriminations, one can establish language in any way, because the object of attachment to the connection of the sign, the property, etc., also exists only in the position of others. For one's own side, all contradictory connections of refutation and establishment disappear like a mirage in the sky. Therefore, speaking words follows the wishes of the person, and is not like the iron hook that drives an elephant, forcing one to accept even when one does not want to. Therefore, the Prasannapadā says: Things do not arise from themselves, because for things that already exist in their own nature, arising is meaningless. Just like the pot at the time of pottery making, since it already exists like a manifest pot, it does not need to arise. This also explains that the consequentialist refutes the Sāṃkhya school in a way that is accepted by others.

This is to establish the language of Svatantrika in order to generate inference. If it were Prasangika, it would become an unacknowledged Prasangika, turning into a joke. Combining the language of Svatantrika in this way does not establish the thesis established by Svatantrika or the valid cognition of one's own system, because the Madhyamika, based on the impartiality established by his own reasoning and valid cognition of self-awareness, all the words of debate are only expressed to refute others. Regarding such refutations, some are expressed as consequences, and some are expressed as reality, but the language at that time seems to be the latter. So, without establishing even a little bit of one's own system and one's own side, it is unnecessary to merely refute others, because refuting others has no meaning of establishment other than mere futile challenges. If you ask this, it is not established, because these words are not spoken for the sake of challenging others, but because those intelligent beings who abide on one side are those who are deluded about reality, and in order to make all those sides, in that aspect, be removed by the reasonable and valid reasoning known to others, thereby establishing those who are free from the wisdom of abiding on the side as understanding reality. Therefore, if one is a Madhyamika, then it is unreasonable to generate inference following one's own continuum. Regarding this, because many famous people in the snowy land of Tibet, both before and after, did not understand this profound key point that I have spoken about, they use the Madhyamika Prasangika to tame disciples and take in followers by seeking such negation and establishment. The Prasangika that does not issue the proof, and the statement of proof, are only establishing the language that is the same as the Prasangika and the basis, because other than that, they do not commit to the tenets that others do not accept in front of others, in their own words, and they do not make proofs, because if they do that, they will become Svatantrika. Saying these words is like not having read even once the vast treatises of the great scholars Buddhapalita and Chandrakirti, and being satisfied with just a few scattered theories and a rough understanding, gathering in the midst of many like livestock, making bad noises, saying that they are doing Madhyamika teaching, debate, and writing, this is entirely due to the drive of ignorance, and it is inevitable to proclaim it, which appears like a clear mirror. In the Clear Words, regarding the great scholar Lekdenjed, this
