Also because of this, all sentient beings in hells, etc., have never seen the unproduced, permanent self that is considered by non-Buddhists, as well as the nominally established self that is the basis of karmic results, which is considered by the great scholar Tsongkhapa, and the self that is to be refuted by the reason of unobtainability, which is sought after the meaning of the imputation without being satisfied with mere imputation, as the object of attachment. Instead, they apply the "I-grasping" to the aggregates to them as well. Therefore, wise people would not establish such a self as the basis of I-grasping. The self as the basis of I-grasping is a phenomenon of imputation (285a), and to establish it in the realm of nominal direct perception is a conceptual imputation that has never been heard of in the world or in the scriptures. Second, it is divided into two parts: stating the former position and refuting the former position. The first part is divided into two parts: the view and the classification. The first part is: Because there is no established "self" other than the aggregates, therefore, the object of the view of self is only the aggregates. The Many Honored Ones and others of our own school say: The object of the view of self is only the aggregates, because as the reason stated earlier, there is no established "self" other than the aggregates. Therefore, the "self" is only the aggregates. They say so. The second part is: Some think that the aggregates as the basis of the view of self are all five, and some think that only one mind. Among them, some think that as the basis of the view of self, that is, as the object of the view, the "self" is all five aggregates. Some think that only one mind is the "self." The second part is divided into two parts: the actual refutation and the conclusion with the implication that the view of self cannot be abandoned. The first part is divided into three parts: stating the harm, refuting the proof, and establishing from the perspective of the person. The first part is divided into three parts: harming with reason, harming with scripture, and harming with the vision of yogis. (The first part is divided into three parts: becoming many selves, etc., becoming annihilation, etc., and the conclusion. (2 The first part is: If the aggregates are the self, then therefore, because of the many, those selves will also become many. The self is a substance, and observing there, because it is applied to the substance, it will not be reversed. In this way, on one continuum, I and the person, etc., will also become many, if the aggregates are the self. Because, pervasive, because form, feeling, etc., are very many. Because the mind is considered to be the self, therefore, the six sense organs such as the eye and their many moments

It also becomes that much. If you think so. The sutra says: When the world arises, only one person arises. This contradicts the scriptures. The self is real, therefore the self becomes real. (285b) Forms and other realities of the three times are piled up and called aggregates, and you admit that it is the self. If you think so. The sutra says: Monks, these aggregates are just names, just terms, just designations. For example: past time, future time, space, nirvana, and person. Also, just as relying on the collection of limbs, it is called a chariot. Similarly, relying on the aggregates, it is called a conventional sentient being. This contradicts the scriptures. Furthermore, the way of clinging to the view of self will not be reversed. Because, the object of observing the self is real, and it has the ability to enter the object. Like the knowledge of blue and yellow, etc. If you think so. Then, when realizing the truth, the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing the path are not abandoned in the way of cutting the rope of the arising of the view of the collection of bad things. Just like the knowledge that arises from blue and yellow, etc., only by abandoning the desire for the self, the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing the path will be abandoned. If you think so. Then, in this way, realizing the truth will also become meaningless. Just as the upper realms have abandoned the afflictions to be abandoned by meditation, but have not abandoned the view of self, it will be the same here. In this way, realizing the truth will also become just empty words. Or, the gods also become objects to be abandoned by meditation. Because, you do not need to abandon it with the path of seeing, but only with the path of meditation. Second, divided into two: refuting the answers to the real and the removal of faults. First: At the time of nirvana, the self will definitely be annihilated. In the moment before nirvana, there is no creator of arising and destruction, so there is no result. Others accumulate, others enjoy. When the aggregates enter nirvana without remainder, the self will definitely be annihilated (286a). Because, if the self is the nature of the aggregates, then at that time the five aggregates will be cut off. If you think so. Then, it will become clinging to extreme views. Because, the self grasped by the view of the collection of bad things will cling to the extreme views of permanence and annihilation. In this way, it also contradicts saying that the self completely enters nirvana without remainder. In the moment before entering nirvana, the aggregates arise and cease in each moment.
