I did not make such a promise, because I am establishing the arising of dependent origination as merely this condition. As it says in the "Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning": 'Whatever arises in dependence on this and that, That is not born in its own nature. If it is not born in its own nature, How can it be said to be born?' And as it says in the scripture: 'Whatever is dependent arising, That is explained as emptiness. That is a designation made by cause, That itself is the Middle Way.' And as it says in the Sutra Pitaka: 'Whatever is born from conditions is unborn, In it, there is no nature of birth. Whatever depends on conditions is said to be empty. Whoever knows emptiness is diligent.' Thus it is said. Therefore, merely speaking of no self-nature will not cause wrong views to arise in their continuum. (266a) Thus, all the conventional arising and ceasing of dependent origination are undeniably known in the world. For this mere appearance that is pleasing to the mind when unexamined, those with vast, unobstructed, and transcendent wisdom, having realized the two truths without inversion, have well explained the establishment of the two truths in the definitive meaning Madhyamaka scriptures for the sake of liberating the world. Other than that, those who cling to things as real cannot establish such a view. Therefore, dependent origination is the antidote to all wrong views, the supreme reasoning that establishes emptiness free from elaboration, the suchness that is the subject of all scriptures, the Middle Way of the union of the two truths, and the path and ground traversed by all noble beings. Therefore, the Omniscient One also said, 'Whoever sees dependent origination sees the Dharma,' and so forth, saying that one sees the Three Jewels and the Four Noble Truths, etc. The teachers also, in all the "Compendium of Madhyamaka," the "Compendium of Reasoning," and the "Compendium of Praise," praised the Bhagavan solely through the way of explaining dependent origination, and established the expressing scriptures and the expressed knowledge through the principle of dependent origination.

Just as there is no fire without fuel. Third, (1) the actual fruit of discernment, and (2) the manifestation of the cause of compassion that makes discernment. First, ordinary people are bound by thoughts, while yogis who do not think will be liberated. Whatever thoughts are reversed, the wise say that is the fruit of discernment. Therefore, ordinary people who have not understood the emptiness of self-nature are bound by their own discriminating thoughts; but those noble yogis who have understood this and do not think about anything will be liberated, because all clinging thoughts are completely reversed. The teachers say in the treatises that this is the fruit of discernment. Therefore, as it is said: If things exist by their own nature, then what is the merit of seeing emptiness? Because seeing through thoughts binds, and that is what is prevented here. What is being eliminated by saying this? All the reasoning spoken of in the vast Madhyamaka treatises by the Bhagavan and the bodhisattvas who have entered the great earth, together with their disciples, is spoken for the purpose of reversing the thoughts that have been reversed since beginningless time, and not for the purpose of eliminating one thought and generating another special thought. For example, eliminating the thought of the existence of things that are not empty is not for the purpose of generating the thought of the non-existence of emptiness of things that do not exist. If one thinks like that, that itself is a bondage that has not entered the reality of things. The teacher said: Here, it is the negation of existence, not the complete grasping of non-existence. Just as saying it is not black does not mean saying it is white. It's like that. Those who have wrong views about the doctrine of emptiness
