It is not established by reason. The Madhyamikas establish the conventional truth as the law of dependent origination in front of ordinary people. Although this dependent origination has the same name as the law of dependent origination spoken by those who speak of reality, the meaning is not the same. Because their dependent origination is established as the law of reality and established by its own nature; but here, it is not established by its own nature, and any established law, whether in reality or non-reality, is not established in name, so in name, the nature of the law of dependent origination, as commonly said, will not be erased in front of the world. Because the conventional law of dependent origination is established, it can easily enter the ultimate truth, that is, the emptiness of the nature of cause and effect, and become its foundation. That is, the author and the karma, the self and the near-taking, the cause and the effect, the goer and the going, the seen and the seer, the spoken and the speaker, the branch and the branched, the part and the part-possessing, the merit and the merit-possessing, the base and the characteristic, the self-character and the character-base, the object and the subject, the knowable and the knowing, the measure and the measurable, the to-be-established (262b) and the establishing, the to-be-abandoned and the antidote, the contaminated and the uncontaminated, the transcendent and the non-transcendent, the real and the unreal, the permanent and the impermanent, the conditioned and the unconditioned, the consciousness and the wisdom, the false and the true, the dharma and the dharma-nature, the conventional and the ultimate, the samsara and the nirvana, and so on. In short, all the dharmas included in the two dharmas are established in dependence on each other. Apart from this, there is nothing that is established independently by its own nature, so it can be liberated from the extremes of permanence and annihilation. Such dependent origination, the combination of causes and conditions, arising and ceasing, one and different, etc., if one establishes "it is so reasonable" in one's own way, then it is deviating from the Buddha's teachings. As it is said in the scriptures: "Whoever thinks of me and all dharmas, their own nature and different nature, the teacher did not say their meaning, the wise should not think so." Therefore, observing these things in terms of one or different is only the behavior of children, and the saints do not do so. As it is said in the Sixty Stanzas of Reasoning:
