Therefore, it is because it does not change. (258a) The meaning of the words is that the eight similes of illusion in the world are like the son of a barren woman, all without self-nature. Although the eight similes of illusion such as dreams can appear, the son of a barren woman cannot appear. Just as form and the son of a barren woman are the same in being without self-nature, the difference between appearing and not appearing is not necessarily pervasive. Secondly, there are two types: those that do not contradict reason and those that do not contradict scripture. The first is: The son of a barren woman, by his own nature, is not born in that place, nor does he exist in the world. Likewise, all these things are not born in that place by their own nature. Therefore, you have no opportunity to argue with the Madhyamikas. Because we admit that form and so on are born by their own nature in the conventional, but we do not deny birth in the ultimate. Just as the son of a barren woman, by his own nature, is in that very place, not existing in the ultimate, nor existing in the worldly convention, likewise, all these things such as form are not born by their own nature in the worldly conventional and in that very place in the ultimate. If analyzed, it is because in both truths they are free from elaboration. The so-called birth by its own nature means birth by its own characteristics without relying on the mind. This does not exist in either of the two truths. If all the causes and effects of samsara, nirvana, bondage, and liberation have self-nature and self-nature, then it must be uncreated, independent of others, and unchanging. But the three, such as uncreated, do not enter into the existence and appearance of any dharma when analyzed. Therefore, all dharmas are merely imputed. Because all dharmas are merely imputed, it is never thought that the creator of all dharmas is the mind. Because it is merely imputed, all dharmas, the agent of the person and the dharma (258b), each from their own position, understand such a profound meaning through emptiness of self-nature, and show it to others, free from all pride. I prostrate and take refuge with great reverence at the feet of the venerable Nyanpa Rechen. Please bless me! The Svatantrikas say that they do not deny the three: appearance, experience, and seeing, but they deny imputation. If these appear in the samadhi of the noble ones, then the samadhi will become a confused mind. Appearance and experience become other errors.

Because the Dharma is artificial, it is contrary to the sacred meaning. If it is not acknowledged, it can be refuted by reason, because reason is considered reasonable, and if argued in this way, then special yogis will generate rootless and baseless realizations. The Venerable Drukpa Kagyu said: By realizing the meaning of the rootless mind, Samsara and Nirvana merge into one. Nothing to be refuted or established is seen. This is the assurance of our view. Thus it is said. Secondly, therefore, as the Teacher said, all Dharmas, Are originally peaceful, free from birth, and by nature, Have been said to be completely extinguished, Therefore, there is always no being. All Dharmas do not always have birth in the two truths, because of what was said before. Thus, the Teacher Buddha, When turning the wheel of Dharma, Originally peaceful and unborn, The Dharmas of self-nature Nirvana, Protector, you have declared. Thus, all Dharmas from form to omniscience are originally peaceful, free from birth, and by nature completely extinguished, for this reason. Also, because wisdom is the realm of peace, all Dharmas are peaceful. The realm of wisdom (༢༥༩ན) That peace is because of non-birth. What is non-birth? Self-nature is completely extinguished. If some Dharmas have self-nature and essence, then they will be born, but if they do not, then what is born? Because it is free from birth at all times, it is not from previously non-existent to later existent, and even if it is later existent, it will not change, but self-nature itself is completely extinguished, and so on. The so-called "originally" does not mean that those are only unborn in the realm of yogic wisdom, but rather that before that, from the perspective of conventional truth, those Dharmas are not born with their own essence. Considering this, Dharma King Götsangpa said: The consciousness of sentient beings, Abides in the Dharmakaya, Even if the Lama does not point it out, It can be suddenly enlightened. Thus it is said. The word "originally" is a synonym for the word "first", referring to the realm of conventional truth. Bo Dong Chokley Namgyal said: All Dharmas are originally unborn, without foundation.
