For this reason, just as the illusion of hair seen by a person with cataracts arises and ceases with the coming and going of the cataracts. Therefore, the *Ten Bhumi Sutra* says that ignorance and action produce consciousness, as the sutra says: Thus, Bodhisattvas thoroughly contemplate dependent origination in a proper manner, even death is close to two functions, namely, it can cause the destruction of action, and it can also produce the cause of uninterrupted ignorance. The extensive explanation of this is found in the auto-commentary. Here, death is shown as something real as it is known in the world without investigation. The upper and lower *Dharma Skandha Sutras* also say that the mind of death is only one moment (241n), it can destroy the previous life's existence, and it can also generate the existence of the next life. Master Tsongkhapa said that death is dying, that is, the end of the previous life, when life ceases, the cessation of life and death can perform two functions, which cannot be established even in the unexamined worldly consensus. If death can be the cause of birth, then is it the cause similar to the previous birth, or is it the cause dissimilar to the previous birth? If it is the former, then it will fall into the fault of never dying; if it is the latter, then it will fall into the fault that the result does not need to arise from the dependence that is consistent with the cause. Whichever fault you accept, even a foolish shepherd would not say that, if someone says that, but thinks that it is the ultimate intention of the great scholar Nagarjuna and the characteristic of Chandrakirti, that is unreasonable. Therefore, if death and destruction can be the cause of other things, then the sutra is quoted in the auto-commentary here: Aggregation produces combination, separation does not produce combination, collection produces combination, non-collection does not produce combination. Like this, separation, non-collection, cessation, destruction, past and cessation do not produce the continuity of things, can you still deny this? The conclusion of such a statement, again quoting the sutra and its auto-commentary, says that when ignorance ceases, action ceases, and so on. Mind and consciousness depend on this, as long as the cause exists, it will arise, when the cause ceases, the result

Mind (241b) The statement that "consciousness also ceases in worldly terms" is a well-spoken teaching of Master Chandrakirti. Even the perfect Buddha, who possesses all the wisdom that cannot be taken away by this essential point, does not have mind and the consciousness or wisdom that arises from mind, because the cause of that, ignorance, etc., has been completely eliminated. Thus, he proclaimed the great roar of the fearless lion. However, from the Kadampa lineage of Jowo, from Dromton to the three virtuous spiritual brothers and so on, in all the commentaries on the Lamrim teachings of the three types of individuals, it is unanimously stated that the Prasangika school believes that the Buddha does not have wisdom, and there are countless texts that explain this profound and vast meaning. However, Changra Gelekpa said, "The perfect Buddha has attained the wisdom of omniscience and knows all knowable things, but to say that there is no omniscient wisdom is there any view more perverse than that?" Although he makes many reproaches that should not be repeated. However, it also seems to say, "Your way of view, meditation, and conduct is the way of the Kadampas." Therefore, one should carefully analyze with profound wisdom the ultimate views of the great Jowo and Dromton Nagtso Lotsawa, the three virtuous spiritual brothers, and other noble individuals, emanations of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas residing on the great earth, and then speak. Secondly, Mind itself arranges the sentient world, The vessel world, in extremely diverse ways. All beings are said to be born from karma, Without mind, there is no karma. Mind itself (242a) By accumulating karma and afflictions, all the phenomena of samsara are obtained by individuals. The sentient world ranges from hell to the peak of existence, and the vessel world ranges from the wind mandala to Akanishta, arranging them in extremely diverse ways. Among them, the colors of peacocks, etc., are produced by uncommon karma, and lotuses, etc., are produced by the common karma of sentient beings. As it is said: Sentient beings are driven by the power of karma, born in dark times, for example, the mind in hell, heaven, and the world, transforms into weapons and jewels.
