also exists, I say this on the conventional level. The Mind-Only school says: If you Madhyamikas, without regard for our side, use reasoning to refute other-dependence, we Mind-Only will not tolerate you Madhyamikas either. If you turn back the reasoning of your Madhyamikas that refutes self and other, and refute the conventional truth that you yourselves acknowledge, what will you do? Just as if wealth accumulated from beginningless time is stolen by a robber, and the victim makes friends with the robber, gives food mixed with poison, and then snatches it back and doesn't give it, the robber will be happy. We Madhyamikas very much want to analyze and refute how the conventional truth is propagated in the world by means of Madhyamika reasoning, just as you establish it by analyzing it with the reasoning of other-dependence, the conventional truth (234a) is not established by analysis, but is established by unanalyzed propagation, this is to explain this point. Just as you think that the object of other-dependence is the object of realization of the wisdom of the noble ones, the conventional truth is not something that I, the Madhyamika, arbitrarily acknowledge, so how should the establishment of the conventional be established? In order to guide sentient beings to obtain the result or benefit, these conventional truths, although they do not exist in reality, are said to exist because they are only propagated in the world, I only say this on the level of the world. What is said afterwards is to dispel the view that the conventional dharma is truly existent. As the Bhagavan said: I argue with the people of the world, I do not argue with the world, whatever the world thinks exists, I also think exists; whatever the world thinks does not exist, I also think does not exist. Just as the realists establish the ultimate truth as truly existent, the Madhyamikas do not establish the conventional truth by their own tenets. Therefore, the statement that the lower and lower are established as the ultimate truth, and all the higher and higher are the conventional truth, and the way the Svatantrikas such as Śāntarakṣita establish the conventional, and the views of Yogācāra-Madhyamikas such as Śāntarakṣita, and the statement that some Tibetans think that the nominal truth exists in the view of the Prāsaṅgika-Madhyamika, all have faults. In short, for a person with cataracts

Even if there are no eye defects, the appearance of hair, etc., is not something that exists in name (234b). However, in order to dispel the belief in the reality of the appearance of hair for those with eye defects, it is said that although hair appears, it has no inherent existence. If we analyze conventionally, although names do not appear in the equality of the noble ones, which is free from elaboration, in the presence of others, the names from form to omniscience are not abandoned but accepted. This is because, for those who are deluded, the mere appearance and assertion are the means by which the world and the logicians dispel all imputed beliefs in reality. This is the view of those who, in this land of snow (Tibet), have long been freed from the stains of erroneousness among the Prasangikas of the past. The great Tsongkhapa, however, believes that in the unique system of the Prasangikas, conventional truth is established by name and measure, and therefore, as the object of refutation of the thesis, this is not contradictory to the establishment of the two truths. Therefore, it must be admitted that it is truly existent, and this was personally heard from the venerable Manjushri. Therefore, these two views are like light and darkness. In which view is the door to liberation, which leads to the attainment of omniscience, more exalted? May those holy beings who are not attached to samsara and nirvana quickly go there! The second point is: Just as there is no Arhat who has abandoned the aggregates and entered into peace, if the world also does not exist, then in the same way, I would not say that it exists more than the world. So, Madhyamika, do you also have occasions in the conventional world when you say "it does not exist" in the face of the world? The answer is: Very much so. Just as there is no conventional existence for the Arhats who have abandoned all the remaining aggregates and entered into peaceful nirvana, if the world also does not exist (235a), then just like the aggregates of the Arhats, I would not say that these conventions exist relative to the fame of the world. For those worldly people who have not analyzed, if conventional existence is proclaimed and spoken of in name, then we speak in accordance with them; if it is proclaimed and spoken of as non-existent, then we act in accordance with them. Because in conventional names, we have not committed to either existence or non-existence in our own system. The third point is: If for you, the world
