I, in order to refute these two extreme views that other knowable things as well as consciousness only exist in conventional truth, but do not exist in ultimate truth, this treatise is written. Etc., because it has been explained limitlessly. Then, if someone thinks that the Madhyāntavibhāga says, "The holy truth is only one." This contradicts the statement that other-powered and completely imputed things are not established in ultimate truth. That is because it shows that wisdom is the ultimate truth of the realm of activity of the noble ones, but it does not show that it is the ultimate truth that can be analyzed by reason. Just as the noble Asanga said, there are four kinds of ultimate truth: name, reason, attainment, and ultimate truth. Therefore, the completely imputed only exists in name, but has no substance; the other-powered can be analyzed by reason, so (225b) it exists in the substance of ultimate truth, but it does not exist in the realm of the transcendental samadhi non-conceptual wisdom; the perfectly established exists in that realm, which is the tenet of the Mind-Only school. Those who say that the completely imputed does not exist in name, the other-powered does not exist in ultimate truth, and the perfectly established has no substance, is definitely not the tenet of the Mind-Only school, this is a good explanation. Here, Zilung Superior says: The Yogācāra school does not explain the other-powered as being without inherent existence. What he says is unreasonable, because in the Dharmatā-vibhāga it says: Thus, from the object one enters into the object of mere consciousness. From the object of mere consciousness one enters into the object of non-perception of all things. From the object of non-perception of all things one enters into the object of non-perception of mere consciousness. From that non-perception one enters into the object of non-difference between the two. And, Dignāga said: By examples such as illusion, the other-powered is completely shown. Etc., because these scriptures appear. Although it has been determined that the other-powered consciousness is without inherent existence, and it has been explained that conventional truth is real, it is said that wisdom itself is the self-characterization of the perfectly established object, and it has been explained that ultimate truth is real. To say this is merely a pitiful statement of wanting to turn the Mind-Only school into the Madhyamaka school. Because those scriptures do not prove this. Because the first scripture shows that the Mind-Only school takes the perfectly established, which is empty of both grasper and grasped, (226a) how does the transcendental samadhi non-conceptual wisdom

Just like that, it is to show the way of taking it as an object. At that time, even the non-conceptual samadhi wisdom itself, because those people consider it to be other-empty consciousness, it is of no help to your claim. The second statement is that other-empty consciousness itself is the nature of unreal pervasive conceptualization due to the power of habit. Like an illusion, it is said to be the basis of the grasped and grasper pervasive conceptualization with the meaning of "appearing to exist while not existing." Such unreal conceptual other-empty, like illusory horses and cattle, although it is a false part of being mistaken for the grasped and grasper, the nature of other-empty itself is not deceived by the illusion-like imputation, so it is considered the ultimate truth. As stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: "Like an illusion, it is said to be unreal pervasive conceptualization. Like the appearance of an illusion, it is said to be mistaken for two graspers. As that is not in this, so it is the ultimate truth. As that is the object, so it is the conventional truth." Therefore, it is of no help to your claim. Therefore, although there is an appearance of the grasped and grasper emptiness like an illusion in other-empty reality, other-empty itself does not exist in the nature of such conventional appearance. As stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: "Thus it exists in that, not its object. Thus illusion etc., are said to be existence and non-existence." (༢༢༦བ) Thus it is said. Therefore, the Mind-Only school believes that, in terms of the nature of things, the characteristic of the perfectly established Dharma realm is not acknowledged as anything other than the nature of other-empty consciousness, so proving other-empty emptiness with yoga practice is only a waste of effort. It does not matter whether the Mind-Only is called Alaya consciousness or wisdom. Because they believe that no reason can harm the momentary clear awareness experience that proves the ultimate truth, and they believe that it is established. There is no perfectly established that is different in nature from other-empty, when the Holy Liberation speaks of the view of the yogi, saying: "Those who think that the Dharma realm is the extremely pure non-dual wisdom itself is the object, according to their view." and the eighth
