There are two aspects: showing existence as the ultimate meaning, and showing everything that the Tathagata said to exist as the ultimate meaning. The first is: The alaya-consciousness exists and the self of the individual exists, and these aggregates alone exist. This teaching is such a profound meaning, it is for those who cannot comprehend it. If there is no self-nature of cause and effect, how can cause and effect be established? In the Lankavatara Sutra and others, it is said: The alaya-consciousness is the basis for the distinction of the power of limitless dharmas, the cause for the arising of all things like waves from the ocean of all seeds. Is that something that does not exist in any way? If someone is attached to a certain mind, considering that they merely have faith in it, then for that reason, it is not completely non-existent. Because it is not literal, it is taught in this way for a purpose, because it shows that it exists for the trainees. If it is said in this way for a purpose, then what is its intention? It is only emptiness, it is said as if there is such a thing as alaya-consciousness, because it follows the self-nature of all things. Therefore, in whatever sutra the alaya-consciousness exists as the basis of cause and effect, and for the trainees, it is also said that the self of the individual exists. As it is said: Monks, the five aggregates are a burden, the bearer of the burden is the individual. And, to some, it is taught that these aggregates, separate from self, alone exist. This teaching is for the sake of those who cling to things, so that they cannot comprehend the profound (204a) meaning of emptiness, and for the sake of gradual guidance, it is taught that the alaya-consciousness and so on exist as they are understood literally. Because later, when the meaning of the scriptures is understood to be free from inversion, attachment to the alaya-consciousness and so on will also be abandoned. Teaching in this way produces merit, not faults, because the Buddha's teachings must be taught according to the times and the capacities of individuals. As it is said: Whatever someone likes, that should be taught first, otherwise it will become a vessel for harming the true Dharma. The second is: Even though free from the view of the aggregates, the Buddhas, just as they teach about "I" and "mine", similarly, phenomena do not have self-nature.

Of. Saying that it exists is truly showing the direct meaning. In order to guide the supreme teachings, not only is the alaya consciousness taught, but also in order for people to understand worldly matters, even if all views of the body are abandoned, the Buddha says "I," "mine," etc., just as I and my teachings are, although things do not inherently exist, but in order to understand the profound meaning, the things from form to omniscience are said to exist, which is truly showing the direct meaning. This is a summary of all the teachings of the Four Truths, the Two Truths, and the Three Natures. Therefore, in the verses that are in accordance with the Sarvastivada school: If the world's guides, Do not follow the world, Then what is the Buddha's Dharma nature? No one will know the Buddha. Aggregates and realms, and (204b) Sources, thinking that the nature is one, Showing these three realms, This is following the world. The dharmas without names, With inconceivable names, Speaking to sentient beings, This is following the world. Showing the absence of reality, Entering the Buddha's nature, There is no reality here, This is following the world. Not seeing meaningful and meaningless, And cessation and ultimate meaning, Speaking the best of speakers, This is following the world. Without destruction and without birth, Although equal to the Dharmadhatu, Yet showing the burning kalpa, This is following the world. In the three times, For the nature of sentient beings, It is not the object of attachment, Yet also showing the world realm, This is following the world. So, what is the principle of following the world? The Madhyamaka school says that all dharmas follow the minds of worldly people, and in front of each of the true and false minds, following the true attachment, there are two truths, thus following along. Even so, if we examine it with the reasoning of following the minds of worldly people themselves, there will be errors here, because the false truth does not exist in meaning, and the true truth cannot be established in meaning.
