Therefore, it is said in this way. Furthermore, if you realists, like that, analyze the conventional real dharma and establish it as the self-tradition established by nominal valid cognition, then it must be admitted that many conventional terms that contradict other worldly acceptances are also not established. In this way, you realists who establish tenets should argue with the worldly people who do not say so. When arguing in this way, I will also join in for the sake of the term, following whatever has the effect of acceptance and rejection in the term. As it is said: Commitment is also only taken by the world, therefore, relying on whoever has made the commitment, one should only observe him, and if it needs to be removed, it should be removed, not relying on others. It is said like this. If the world does not harm you, then rely on the world (96b) to refute this. You and the world should argue here. Afterwards, I, the powerful one, will rely on it. We people will be in a very difficult situation in order to prevent the world's conventions. You crush the world's conventions. If the world does not harm you, I will establish emptiness for you. The harm of the world also exists, therefore one should rely on abandonment. You and the world should argue here. Among them, if you win, then afterwards we people will also follow, so we will rely on you. However, if you are defeated by the world, then at that time I will rely on the very powerful world. It is said like this. Furthermore, the consequentialists do not admit that there is a valid cognition established with the realists in the similarity of the three aspects of subject, property, and example. As it is said: Just like things and images, all of these have no own characteristics, nor do they have general characteristics, what are direct perception and inference? Here, direct perception is only one, that is, the wisdom of omniscience. It is said like this. In particular, this teacher believes that in the two truths, the things of the three aspects of subject, property, and example, which are established by the intellect and nominal valid cognition relying on the two truths, will be established in accordance with the world.

It is not accepted in that way either. As it is said in the scripture: "The Buddhas have not taught that anything is truly existent." Therefore, your seeking of that (97a) itself is to dispel the worldly conceptualizations by relying on the speech that is accepted by the world. If it is thought that the three aspects of subject, property, and reason, which are established by worldly conventional valid cognition, must also be established in accordance with how they are established by worldly people, and that the Madhyamaka-Prasaṅgikas must also accept this, then, because it is known that such wrong conceptualizations will arise early on, a response that is not pervasive is made in the manner of a future prophecy. Because when seeking that itself, all the affirmations and negations of the thesis and proof that establish that itself, whether they transcend the world or not, without being established by any autonomous valid cognition or independence, merely relying on the thoughts of self and other debaters, and the relativity of what is reasonable and unreasonable, can dispel non-dharmic conceptualizations, thereby comprehending the true meaning. As it is said in the scripture: "If the world were valid cognition, by seeing that itself, what need is there for other noble ones? What is the use of the noble path? A fool is not valid cognition, nor is it reasonable. Therefore, the world is not valid cognition in all ways, and at that time the world is harmless." Therefore. In particular, when seeking the suchness that is free from elaboration, if it is said that the three aspects of subject, property, and reason of the worldly conventional, which serve as its basis, must be determined as being established by conventional valid cognition, that is merely because the meaning of what the noble Candrakīrti said, that all things are not established by their own nature, has not been understood. Because when he seeks that itself, the worldly conventional aspects of subject, property, etc., which are the basis (97b) for seeking that itself, should not be measured by conventional valid cognition, because the worldly conventional aspects of subject, property, etc., cannot be found to be established by conventional valid cognition apart from that suchness by means of intellectual valid cognition, and merely because of this, it harms those who want to find them in that way, your doing so is reversed. As it is said in the scripture: "Why is it that when these things are analyzed, they cannot be found to exist apart from things that have self-nature? Therefore, the conventions of the world are before the true meaning."
