The consequence that generates estimation, if related to many, is all-encompassing with parts. For example, like mustard seeds in different containers. It is also accepted that the generality of a cow is related to its many manifestations. Because that is the very statement itself. Therefore, isn't it a jumbled statement to say that the way of debating of the consequentialists is different from the way of debating of Dignāga and Dharmakīrti? Also, saying "there is no commitment to one's own system" should not be a characteristic of the consequentialist's own system. Because the consequentialists are free from saying, thinking, and expressing "this is one's own system," therefore, saying "there is no commitment" should not be speculated with thought and expression. Therefore, Master Maitrīpa said in the Tenth Chapter of the Reality Itself: "If one speaks of the Madhyamaka system, one must speak according to the system of the great master Candrakīrti." And in the commentary on the Reality Itself, Vajra Born Together said: "The valid cognition that maintains the system of Candrakīrti and engages in refutation and establishment must be spoken according to the system of Dignāga and Dharmakīrti, otherwise it will not be able to cut off illogicalities and give vitality to reason." As it is said: "In this path, most also follow the path of the system composed and entered by Dharmakīrti, the jewel on the crown of logicians, and thus combine all establishments, but this is not the arrogance of being madly independent." It appears that when the Madhyamaka consequentialists engage in refutation and establishment, although they rely on the refutation and establishment of that system, the Madhyamaka consequentialists should not say that such valid cognition is self-established in both truths. If one follows its path there, will it also become self-established? No, it is not. Just as, due to the need, one temporarily extensively establishes external objects, but later reason will question and refute it. Secondly, in general, for both the Madhyamaka Svātantrika and the consequentialists, the profound Dharmadhātu emptiness is the object of observation of the ultimate truth, and the engagement of the mind that realizes it in the peaceful manner free from all elaborations, there is no difference in the views of the consequentialists and the Svātantrikas. The object of observation of

Praise to the teacher who, starting from emptiness, expresses the inexpressible: In the light of reasoning, who has not thoroughly examined that itself? It is not consciousness, not a basis. Not a symbol, not a sign, not knowable. Without birth or death, and bliss, not conceptually constructed, without appearance. Without characteristics, and without a clarifier. Not two, without two, not. Peace and wisdom enter, completely abandoned. The letterless letter. Taught by compassion itself. The teacher is said to be without error. To that, I respectfully prostrate. Thus, the very nature of the object of observation of profound emptiness, from its own face, is not something to be seen, but it is labeled as something to be seen. There it says: Not thoroughly examined, not consciousness. Not something to be examined, without comparison. Without characteristics, and without appearance. Without conceptualization, and without letters. What is to be realized by the wisdom of observation. Because there is no seeing, that is seeing. Thus, the wisdom that realizes emptiness, because it is separated from the elaboration of object and subject, the nirvana where all the entrances of knowable and knowing do not abide, from the great ocean of ultimate truth, the dharmakaya that does not arise, is what those to be tamed call Buddha and Tathagata. But in reality, such a dharma is truly beyond the realm of conceptual connection. To this, the teachers of Svatantrika and Prasangika agree (page 83a) and speak with one voice. In the light of reasoning: For the eye that is free from cataracts, to the eye that is without the stain of conceptualization, just as hair and mosquitoes, a double moon, and peacock feathers, etc., do not appear. Likewise, for the wise, the obscuring darkness of afflictions and knowable things has been removed, and for the immaculate eye of true wisdom, nothing appears in the same way. For example, due to sleep and the power of sleep, sons and women, palaces, places, etc., are seen in dreams, but when awakened, those are no longer seen. Similarly, conventional knowledge, when the eye of wisdom is opened, and after being separated from the sleep of ignorance, one does not see when awakened. For example, in the darkness of night, one sees ghosts that are not truly existent, but when the sun rises and the eyes are opened, they do not appear. Similarly, when the wise one, with the sun of true wisdom, destroys all the habits of ignorance, the mind and mental factors, and the object, are not seen.
