Those are just like that. The collection of wisdom is meditation and wisdom, and diligence is the cause of both. The collection of merit is the cause of the form body, which possesses the nature of the Buddha's form body, and the cause of the Dharma body is the collection of wisdom. The third is: The king's son, the one who dwells in the sun and makes light, First completely eliminates the darkness belonging to himself, Wants to manifestly destroy the darkness of beings. Even if he becomes very sharp on this earth, he will not become angry. The king's son, the land of the one who dwells in the sun and makes light, belongs to his own continuum, that is, the darkness of ignorance that exists in his own basis, is first completely eliminated at the time of arising, and after that, he wants to manifestly destroy the darkness that has become an obstacle to the third land of beings. That bodhisattva, like the rays of the sun that eliminate the darkness of evil (62b) that has become an obstacle to qualities on this earth, even if his wisdom becomes very sharp, he will not become angry with flawed beings, because he is very accustomed to patience and has moistened his continuum with compassion. In the Madhyamakavatara, it is said that this is the third generation of mind. In the Madhyamakavatara, it is said that the one called "Making Light" is the explanation of the third generation of mind of the Bodhisattva. The fourth generation of mind, radiating light. For countless eons, even for a moment, The effort to block the opportunity for laziness, All those bodhisattvas who possess these, Appear as an unshakable object of faith. Fourth, to show the nature through the excellence of diligence, to show the name, meaning, and qualities of the land. The first is: All qualities follow diligence, The collection of merit and wisdom is the cause of both. Wherever diligence blazes, That land is the fourth land, called Radiating Light. From the first three perfections, the fourth generation of mind is shown through the excellence of the perfection of diligence. All qualities, whether transcendent or worldly, follow diligence, and without it, they will not arise. If one does not enjoy virtuous deeds, it is impossible to enter into generosity and so on. The accumulator and the joyful one are able to obtain the unobtained virtues and increase and expand the obtained virtues. Therefore

Where does diligence burn? The most excellent ground is the fourth Bodhisattva ground, called the Radiant Ground. Because the accumulation of merit and wisdom, the cause of both of these is diligence itself. Secondly, the name and meaning of the qualities of realization, and the explanation of the qualities of abandonment. The first is: There, for the Sugata's son, the perfect aspects of enlightenment are increasingly cultivated, and the appearance that arises surpasses the light of copper. The fourth ground, there, for the Sugata's son, the thirty-seven aspects of perfect enlightenment are increasingly cultivated, and the appearance of wisdom that arises surpasses the light that was previously described (63a) using the example of the light of copper. For that reason, the fire of wisdom radiates light in that place, so it is called the Radiant Ground. The second is: All that is related to the view of self is completely exhausted. In this place, not only is there the wisdom that arises from the cultivation of the aspects of enlightenment, but also in that place, the agent, the person, related to the view of self and the view of what belongs to self, all other manifest attachments are also completely exhausted. Here, the commentary and the teacher Abhaya say: In this place, the innate view of self of the desire realm, the middle and large parts, are abandoned, but the desire above that, and the afflictions of the upper realms, are not abandoned. Also, some Tibetans say in this regard: Bodhisattva abiding on the fourth ground, in terms of Dharma, you have the merit of abandoning the attachment to self and the attachment to what belongs to self, which are the small parts of the great part to be abandoned by cultivation of the Mahayana, which are your own part to be abandoned, in a way that does not regress, because you are a Bodhisattva abiding in the great part of the small path of cultivation of the Mahayana. The first statement that appears in this way is unreasonable, because it is very bad to say there, using the person of the stream-enterer of the Hinayana as a common example, and claiming to explain the twenty Sanghas of the Mahayana. Because in the tradition of the Shravakas, it is also thought that the person of the stream-enterer has abandoned all views of self, and for the view of self, the innate part is established, and it is not regarded as something to be abandoned on the path of cultivation. The second statement is unreasonable, because in the Abhidharma Samuccaya and others, for the Alaya consciousness, as the self of the afflicted mind, the object to be abandoned by cultivation is abandoned in the nine grounds of the (63b) path of cultivation.
