And also to obtain merits, and to abandon the faults that are contrary to the ground, therefore, many uncommon differences of joy arise. This ground (page 45b) is also called the Extremely Joyful Ground, because it has extreme joy and is superior. Here, it is also possible to shake a hundred worlds, because there one also obtains the representative twelve hundred qualities. The second is: from ground to ground, one suppresses and goes upwards, increasing greatly. At that time, all the paths to bad destinies of this ground will be completely cut off. At that time, all the lands of ordinary beings of this ground will be exhausted. This is shown to be similar to the eighth noble one. This can suppress from the lower ground to the higher ground, and from the higher ground, one goes upwards, increasing greatly, because one is accustomed to the Dharma that one has mastered, so one is more willing to suppress the second ground, etc. At that time, from the continuum of this ground, all the paths to bad destinies due to karma will be completely cut off, because one has obtained the vows not to commit evil deeds. Similarly, one will not be born by karma as women, eunuchs, hermaphrodites, bisexuals, oviparous, moisture-born, and unfavorable places. At that time, the non-conceptual of this ground, as well as the bad sounds of Uttarakuru, and the lands of ordinary beings with manifest attachments such as the Great Brahma, will all be exhausted, because one has directly seen the truth. In short, this Bodhisattva is like the eighth noble one who has entered the stream, because he has realized the noble Dharma that is in accordance with himself, thereby being free from faults and producing merits, so this ground also produces merits that are in accordance with itself due to the realization of the ground, and faults are exhausted, just like the eighth ground is shown by analogy. Here, entering the stream is not suitable for the eighth ground, because the eighth ground is the enterer of the stream of the enterer of the stream, if you think so, there is no fault, if the eighth ground is spoken of from the perspective of the four pairs and eight individuals, then where should these four pairs be assigned? Both the enterer of the stream of the enterer of the stream and the fruit-stayer (page 46a) are assigned to the individual who has entered the stream, therefore, the eighth ground here is an analogy to the qualities of the Hearer who has seen the path, so whatever name is used is fine, it is difficult to establish in the view of this teacher to divide the enterer of the stream of the enterer of the stream and the fruit-stayer into two types of noble individuals, because the practitioner on the path of application has not entered the first fruit.

It has been said before that it is a place to be examined because it does not accept that the path of seeing is many moments. Thirdly, from the first bhumi, with the generation of bodhicitta and compassion, higher intention, and from the seventh bhumi onwards, with the power of wisdom, one can also overwhelm the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. The first case is: Even if the perfect Bodhicitta abides in the first bhumi, the Buddha's speech-born and all beings including Pratyekabuddhas, are defeated and increased by the power of pure merit. The Buddha's speech-born, including Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, with the view of the perfect Bodhicitta that understands the true meaning, with the Bodhisattva who abides in the first bhumi with the realm of Dharma, also for the benefit of sentient beings, accomplishing happiness, the power of pure higher intention of wishing to obtain all the Buddha's teachings, overwhelms and defeats them, so the Bodhisattva's merit increases again. As the Bhagavan said: 'Son of good family, for example, a king's son who is born not long ago, possessing the name of the king, can also overwhelm all the ministers who are mainly the elders with the power of noble lineage. Similarly, a Bodhisattva who has just generated the mind of enlightenment, not long after generating the mind of enlightenment, is also born in the lineage of the Tathagata Dharma King (46b), and with the power of the mind of enlightenment and compassion, overwhelms the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas who have long practiced brahmacharya. Son of good family, for example, the wind force of the wings of the great Garuda's cub born not long ago, and the merit of the eyes being completely pure, are not possessed by all the other aging birds. Similarly, the Bodhisattva who first generates the mind of enlightenment, correctly appears in the lineage of the Tathagata Garuda, the cub of the Garuda overwhelms others with the power of the wings of generating the mind of omniscience, and the merit of the eyes of completely purifying the higher intention, is not possessed by all the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas who are bound to experience hundreds of thousands of kalpas.'
