If one thinks like that, it is not pervasive, because it will not become like that. Because from the nature of dependent origination based on reliance, if something is called unreasonable somewhere, then it is possible to prevent it in that way with a reason, because it can be known. Then, if someone asks, how does the reason of the other-proclaimed nature of reality, which speaks of knowledge being in accordance with dependent origination, prevent the wrong conception of viewing things as true, which is incompatible with knowledge of dependent origination? At that time, the reason of the other-proclaimed nature of reality, which is in accordance with knowledge of dependent origination, is to cut off the extremes of elaboration such as the truth of things on the self-aspect of the nature of phenomena of conventional truth. After cutting off like that, understanding the state of reality of ultimate truth is also spoken of in the way of other-proclamation by those who speak of knowledge being in accordance with dependent origination without examining it. If one examines it in that way, then it will not be established there either, because by preventing birth in the conventional, it will not be established as unborn in the ultimate either. Because if there is no birth in the conventional, then the unbornness itself in the ultimate is also unreasonable. If one says that, then that way (391a) will also be destroyed. Therefore, the self-aspect of the nature of reality, the ultimate truth, which is free from elaboration, is not an object of examination in any way of refutation or establishment by the reason of other-proclamation. If those who speak of knowledge being in accordance with dependent origination examine it, not only are they unable to do anything in any aspect of refutation or establishment, but also when they admit that it is merely the conventional of examination, they also say that they are unable to do anything in any aspect of refutation or establishment. For example, just as Manjushri did not examine that it was merely nominal illusion, and when asked about the ultimate truth of the stainless noble Licchavi, he said nothing at all. Moreover, with hearing, thinking, meditation, and the wisdom of worldly people, one cannot do anything in the realm of reality. Moreover, no matter in which aspect of refutation or establishment, existence or non-existence, one argues, it will become a wrong conception that is incompatible with that situation. Seeing this key point, the scholar Sragchen Dzin Zangpo said: The essence that is not stained by extremes, the stainless essence, whose nature is originally established, is not an object of examination by all. If one examines it, it will only be like touching a poisonous snake. Thus it appears. If one does not understand this key point, then in the dohas of the accomplished ones, saying that examining the existence or non-existence of the nature of phenomena of the conventional is a prevention that is absolutely not allowed, is only one's own merchandise.

It is completed. Furthermore, the conventional truth is not like that, because the consciousness of worldly people can be the object of refutation and establishment, and with the reasoning of other-assertion, refuting the subject of conventionality, and in the examination of establishment, merely understanding in the mind (391b) in accordance with the actual meaning, even in the unexamined nominality, admitting merely as conventional, it can undeniably arise in that way, therefore, those who speak in accordance with knowable dependent origination establish it in that way when unexamined. Those who speak in accordance with knowable dependent origination, even when unexamined, do not consider that the self-aspect of the nature of reality, the ultimate truth, can be subjected to any kind of distinction or complete exclusion, because the nature of reality, the ultimate truth, has no self-nature, and its self-nature has not been heard to appear as real by any Shravaka Arhat or noble being, while the self-nature of the subject of conventional truth is merely that which is not prevented from appearing before the mistaken perception of ordinary children, so they say. As it is said: The nature of phenomena, whether the Tathagatas appear or do not appear, is that very nature, which cannot be altered or disturbed, and remains just as it is. Thus, in the teachings of the sutras and shastras, it is taught in various ways more than once. Even so, when speculative thinkers perversely impute existence, non-existence, etc., to the nature of reality, the ultimate truth, emptiness, free from elaboration, the Madhyamika is able to dispel those wrong conceptions with the other-assertion examination that accords with knowable dependent origination, but when dispelling them, it is not dispelling a wrong view that has been established as wrong. Even so, the wrong view of grasping the ultimate truth as existence or non-existence is not refuted by the reasoning established by the Madhyamika's own system, because the reasoning established by one's own system can never be established by one's own system. Therefore, when examining the self-aspect of the conventional subject with the reasoning of other-assertion that accords with knowable dependent origination (392a), when not even a little of its self-nature is found, those who speak in accordance with knowable dependent origination, even if they nominally praise it as the ultimate truth divided by the two truths without examination, that is not the ultimate truth that is not a mere name, because it is not an object of thought and expression of hearing, thinking, and meditation.
