It should be known that even learned scholars will not be able to comprehend this work if they lack the seed of faith in emptiness. Therefore, those who desire liberation should abandon their fondness for other schools, such as the Shravaka school and the Mind-Only school, just as they would abandon those self-serving heretical doctrines that are incompatible with both the mundane and the supramundane. This is because other schools cannot serve as a basis for unerringly accepting or rejecting things in conventional reality, and they are imaginary constructs that contradict dependent origination, so there is nothing surprising about them. But this school is compatible with dependent origination, so it is worthy of wonder. Thirdly, from the good doctrine proclaimed by the teacher Nagarjuna, may the merit I have gained pervade all directions, making the sky of my mind as white as an autumn star from the blue of afflictions, or like the wish-fulfilling jewel on the head of a snake in my mind, may all beings quickly realize that very nature and proceed to the state of the Sugata. Dedication: From the good doctrine proclaimed by the teacher Nagarjuna, the two truths without inversion, may the merit gained by Chandrakirti pervade all directions, making the nature of emptiness in the sky of my mind as white as an autumn star, free from clouds, from the blue and defilement caused by sudden afflictions, or like the wish-fulfilling jewel on the head of a snake in my mind, which is the nature of afflictions and conceptual thoughts, may all beings realize the very nature of all phenomena and quickly proceed to the state of the Sugata. In the degenerate age of strife, in the region of the northern direction, the great accomplished one, the great Buddha Mnyan-pa, who arose, holding the hidden conduct of a great yogi, and who reached the pinnacle of the profound Vajrayana school through the conduct of an Avadhuta, I respectfully prostrate and take refuge. After saying this, by means of his pure oral instructions, which reside in the ear-whispered teachings, I will not conceal but will slightly explain the good state of the non-extremist Madhyamaka held by the great teacher Nagarjuna and his spiritual sons, and the places that are free from error.
