The statement that "both Svatantrika and Prasangika fall into the extreme of existence because they are both conditioned phenomena" is not only a slander against the Madhyamaka, the foremost of the four Buddhist philosophical schools, but also a self-refutation by those who claim to have established unique views. If that were the case, then all the scriptures of the later Dharma wheel (387b), the profound tantras, all the Maitreya's teachings, the Asanga brothers, Dignāga, Dharmakīrti, etc., would also become dharmatā, because they are not Madhyamaka. If both Svatantrika and Prasangika fall into the extreme of existence, then this contradicts saying that they are nihilistic and deniers. Furthermore, if one thinks that the fault can be avoided by saying that the later Dharma wheel, etc., also have both conditioned and unconditioned aspects, that is not correct. Because there is absolutely no unconditioned aspect in the phenomena produced by causes and conditions such as the later Dharma wheel, etc., saying so is beyond reason and speaks of something impossible for knowledge. Secondly, it is divided into: the main text, the explanation of the reason, and the two reasons for delighting in the unique Madhyamaka path. The first is: The ocean of Nāgārjuna's wisdom is frightening because of its extremely vast color. Beings have abandoned all good customs from afar, therefore his words, the lotus that blooms in chapters, the water opened by Candrakīrti, now fully satisfy all those who hope to understand the reality. Therefore, the ocean of wisdom of the great teacher, the noble Nāgārjuna, is immeasurable in depth and extremely vast, like a dark color. Because they do not understand the view of unbornness and emptiness, they are frightened by merely seeing the letters that show suchness. Therefore, those authors of treatises who are extremely frightened have abandoned the good tradition of the teacher Nāgārjuna, those transcendental dharmas. Because they have abandoned the distant places, the Madhyamaka born from the ocean of wisdom of the teacher Nāgārjuna, his words written in chapters, the Root Wisdom Treatise, is like a blooming lotus, opened by the cool rays of Candrakīrti's wisdom. The water of the good explanations of the two truths within it possesses eight qualities, now Candrakīrti, fully satisfies the wishes of those fortunate disciples who hope to understand the meaning of reality (388a). In the commentary it says: If Vasubandhu and Dignāga.

The authors of treatises such as the Bull of and the Dharma Protector have already appeared, and those people are afraid even of hearing the words, and if they are asked whether they have completely abandoned the meaning of dependent origination as it is, they will say so. The scholar Sthiramati says that even the noble Asanga did not understand the meaning of Madhyamaka, and in the Blaze of Reasoning he says: The teachers of the Great Vehicle themselves, Asanga and Vasubandhu and others, lead astray the tradition of the meaning of the Great Vehicle, which was correctly understood by the noble Nagarjuna, who was prophesied by the Tathagata and attained the very joyful ground, and those who are shameless and ignorant of the meaning, who know it in the same way and are proudly wise, say this: Entering the nectar of Suchness, that thorough entry is well taught only by us, not by those who speak of Madhyamaka. So they say. It is recorded. Here, although the teacher Asanga is a noble being, he taught only the mind for the sake of taming the disciples, and it is not considered that he is not a Madhyamika, just as the venerable Maitreya also composed treatises on the mind in a provisional way, so it is clear that he thinks. The second is: This profound and frightening thing that has already been spoken, is born from previous habits, and people will definitely understand it, but even if it is heard a lot, others will not understand it. Therefore, having seen these rules pieced together with one's own wisdom, one should abandon the idea of clinging to one's own sect like scriptures, and liking other sects. If you ask how you understand this way of speaking? The Suchness that has already been spoken, emptiness and dependent arising are profound, and those without merit are afraid (388b), this is born from the accumulation of good resources from the previous habituation to emptiness, and people will appear to understand. Those who have accumulated in this way, by the power of the cause, even if they are non-Buddhists, will see that the non-Buddhist sects are unreasonable, and thus will definitely understand the profound meaning of emptiness. Non-Buddhists have not left habits on emptiness, even if they have abandoned various afflictions of the three realms, and are able to use other sects, they are like not believing in Buddhism.
