These are because they were spoken by the noble Nagarjuna. Following him, having dispelled the doubt of being able to speak of all the qualities of the Buddha, with the strength of faith, I have spoken and discussed a small portion of the qualities. The third is: Profound is emptiness, other qualities are vast. By knowing the way of profound and vast, these qualities will be attained. In short, in this treatise, the qualities of the Buddha are of two kinds: profound and vast. Among them, the profound is the emptiness of reality, because it is difficult to fathom. The other qualities of cause and effect are vast because they are difficult to fully understand. Thus, by knowing the way of profound and vast and practicing it, these qualities will be easily attained. The third is: Again, you who possess the unwavering body, having come from the three realms, through emanations, etc. Showed passing away, birth, enlightenment, and the wheel of peace. Thus, you, with great compassion, lead all beings in the world who are of wavering conduct and have nets of desire, from being bound by many things, to nirvana. The Sambhogakaya acts for the sake of taming pure beings, and then again, with the Dharmakaya, possessing an unwavering body, even though you have transcended the three realms. You appear in the three realms in accordance with the appearances of those to be tamed, and through emanations, etc., show the connection with parents, etc., descending from the realm of Tushita to the womb of the mother, and being born, becoming enlightened at the Vajra Throne, and in order to suit the faculties of beings, showing the wheel of Dharma that pacifies all suffering in three stages, the Bhagavan now, with great compassion, leads all beings in the world who have the wavering conduct of afflictions and the nets of desire that are attached to the world, from being bound by many things, to the place of nirvana. Fourth, to show that the teaching of the One Vehicle is definitive, and to explain that the teaching of the Three Vehicles is provisional. The first is: Because here, by merely knowing Suchness, all stains are removed. There is no other that accomplishes this, and the dharmas do not rely on the variations of Suchness. This wisdom, which has Suchness as its object, is also not a different change. Therefore, you, for the sake of beings

Where is the inequality and non-difference shown? The Blessed One's teaching of one vehicle as three vehicles is intentional, because in this world, knowing the suchness of all dharmas as they are, and thereby removing all the stains of the two obscurations, is the only antidote that is diligently practiced. If one does not know this suchness, one cannot abandon all the obscurations. Therefore, this shows the vehicle of the path as one vehicle. The suchness of all dharmas that exist in things is unborn, and the differences in the transformations of things do not depend on their respective differences, because they are the same in that their nature is unborn. Therefore, this shows the object of knowledge or the basis vehicle as one vehicle (382b). Although what is seen through hearing, thinking, and meditation is different, there is no difference or transformation in it, so this wisdom of the intellect that has the object of realizing that is also not different, and its nature is one. If wisdom is not the nature, then the suchness of wisdom cannot be realized, because the nature is not realized as it is. Therefore, this shows the vehicle of the result of realization as one vehicle. Because the suchness of the object is one, the wisdom of the object-possessor is not different, therefore, Blessed One, as you said, although the vehicles of beings are unequal and equal, because there is no other vehicle, it is shown to be non-different from the vehicle of the Buddha, and there are not three vehicles. As it says in the sutra: "Light Protector, if you realize that all dharmas are equal, then it is nirvana, and that is one, not two or three." Therefore, the meaning of the words, the suchness of the object to be realized, has no difference, and if one does not realize it through the path that realizes it, one cannot remove the stains, and if one realizes it, then there is no difference in it, so the vehicle of the path to be traveled and the vehicle of the result to be traveled are also one. Here, all those who consider the one vehicle to be the definitive meaning agree that the Hearers and Solitary Realizers will ultimately attain the Great Vehicle. However, those who believe that the Hearers and Solitary Realizers have not realized the selflessness of phenomena believe that it can be determined as three vehicles temporarily, but ultimately all must enter the path of the Great Vehicle. Those who believe that the selflessness of phenomena is realized believe that the suchness of the object of the wisdom of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers has been realized.

and there is no difference in that wisdom. (383a) That which eliminates all defilements is the one vehicle and the vehicle of the Buddhas. However, it is considered that the teaching of it as three vehicles is provisional. As it is said in the chapter of the Great Collection: "The true gathering in one vehicle is that all vehicles truly gather in the equality of one vehicle, entering the indivisible realm of Dharma, this is one way." And in the Praise Without Example: "Because the realm of Dharma is without difference, the vehicle of the Lord is without difference, but you have taught it as three vehicles in order to guide sentient beings." Like that. Although it may be allowed that the wisdoms of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers and that suchness are not different, so it is one vehicle, how can it be suitable for the vehicle of the Buddhas? The term Buddha refers to the complete abandonment of the two obscurations together with their predispositions. There is no antidote to the abandonment of the two obscurations other than the non-erroneous realization of suchness. Because the Hearers and Solitary Realizers also realize suchness, however, there is a difference of quickness and slowness due to the difference of faculties and means. If it is asked: Then is it contradictory that the paths of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers are said to be obstacles to enlightenment? Answer: Because those with inferior faculties cannot attain enlightenment without first going through the path of the inferior vehicle. Those who gradually attain unsurpassed enlightenment from the path of Hearers and Solitary Realizers do not have the complete difference of means. The path of the inferior vehicle is established in relation to those with inferior faculties. Because by familiarizing oneself with that, one can eliminate all defilements, it is said to be the vehicle of the Buddhas. (383b) However, if those sharp-witted ones who have faith in the profound and vast make manifest the path of the inferior vehicle, it will take a long time to attain enlightenment, so it is said to be an obstacle. Among the two, one is: Explaining that the ultimate teaching of the three vehicles is intentional. The second is: To clarify that meaning through the door of examples. The first is: Why do these impurities that cause faults to arise in practitioners exist? Therefore, the world does not enter the profound realm of the Buddhas' activity. Sugata! Why do you have wisdom, great compassion, and skillful means? And why did you promise that I would liberate sentient beings? If so, if nirvana is only one, then how
