And so forth, two verses from the root commentary. Here also, it is said many times, "the body of the nature of wisdom," and "the realm of wisdom is suchness itself." Thus it is said. Those systems are not reasonable, because the unexamined establishment of those who say that phenomena exist in accordance with dependent origination is as described above. After examining like you, there is never a time when Madhyamikas establish the existence or non-existence of wisdom as their own system. Your assertion is merely to engage in refutation and establishment with the darkness of ignorance (༣༧༢བ) established by your own conceptualization, without knowing the nature of phenomena in general, and in particular, without knowing the nature of the Buddha, and without recognizing the wisdom of the Buddha. In general, because you do not understand that all phenomena are primordially free from all elaboration such as existence and non-existence, you are only arguing about the existence or non-existence of the Buddha's wisdom. Moreover, both existence and non-existence are refuted by all the scriptures and all the treatises of Nagarjuna and his sons. Furthermore, because you do not remember that the Tathagata also said that he did not see existence or non-existence in any way. If obscurations inherently exist, then even if you try, you will not be able to abandon them, so you will not be able to attain liberation, and striving on the path will be meaningless. If what was previously your own nature is inherently non-existent later, then everything will be liberated without effort. If wisdom is your own nature and inherently exists, then sentient beings and samsara will not be valid even in name. If the Buddha does not even have the name of wisdom, then all the qualities of the world and beyond the world will disappear, because it exists from the extreme of permanence to the extreme of annihilation. From then on, if it does not exist, then it will fall into both extremes of permanence and annihilation, and sentient beings will have two obscurations and impure aggregates, elements, and sense bases. It is also unreasonable for the Buddha not to have wisdom and all the qualities of transformation. If there is no wisdom, then all the qualities of higher realms and definite goodness will disappear. The sutra says: For example, if the Naga king who dwells in the Anavatapta lake disappears, how will the rivers flow in this Jambudvipa (India)? If there are no rivers, flowers and fruits (༣༧༣ན) will not arise. The ocean will also not have many precious forms. Similarly, here, without bodhicitta,

gone. Where do all these wisdom worlds arise? Without wisdom, there is no increase of merit, no enlightenment. The Buddha's teachings, like the ocean, would also disappear. Buddha's sons, hearers, solitary realizers, gods, And all the happiness and dharma of all beings, All of that arises from the supreme Prajnaparamita. Wisdom never diminishes and never increases. Like this, How many skillful means, methods, and roots of wisdom are there? All of that arises from the supreme Prajnaparamita. Like this, Furthermore, all the qualities such as the five perfections will not arise without the Prajnaparamita, therefore the mother of the Buddhas repeatedly said in that sutra and this sutra. In the realm of the Buddha, it is also unreasonable to have a stream of consciousness that arises and ceases in an instant and an illusion like a mirage. Because it has been repeatedly shown before that all dharmas are free from all extremes such as arising and ceasing. If there is illusion, there will be ignorance. It is unreasonable to realize that all dharmas are unborn, but not to realize that oneself is unborn. If the wisdom of the Buddha, which is free from elaboration, has arising and ceasing, then worldly beings bound by the endless web of elaboration such as arising and ceasing will see the thusness, and it is also unreasonable for the noble ones to say to them that there is no arising, etc. Therefore, those who argue about existence and non-existence have not recognized the wisdom of the Buddha. Those people seem to be arguing by grasping the mind and mental factors that arise and cease in an instant, and the appearance of illusion like a mirage, as wisdom. Wisdom, as previously explained in the context of the Prajnaparamita, is that all dharmas are free from elaboration, and the mind has also become free from all elaboration. In particular, the wisdom of the Buddha, as just mentioned, is that all elaborations, including habitual tendencies, are completely pacified in the thusness, so that the sphere and wisdom are inseparable. Abandoning one and different, phenomena and dharma-nature, abandonment and realization, object and subject, etc., all are non-dual. Moreover, samsara and nirvana, faults and virtues, etc., all dharmas have become equality in every way.
