The six, such as, whatever is the lack of inherent existence, that is considered inner emptiness. As the sutra says: (319b) What becomes inner emptiness, what are the inner dharmas? The inner dharmas are the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind. Because they are not permanent and not destroyed, the eye is empty of the eye. Why? Because that is its nature. Like that, for whatever reason the nature of the eye is emptiness, the eye is empty of its own nature. Likewise, the ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind should also be said to be empty. Thus, the inherent nature of the six sense bases, such as the eye, which is originally empty and without inherent existence, that is the subject. In worldly conventions that have not been analyzed, when establishing the two truths, it must be considered as such. The Prasangikas who follow the worldly conventions that speak of dependent origination as it is, without analysis, follow the conventions of the two truths having or not having inherent existence without reversing them, and thus establish them. Because they see the lack of inherent existence of the self-emptiness of the six, such as the eye, as being established as inherent existence. If one relies on that, then in conventional terms, if an object or dharma has a little inherent existence, then there must be something that is not permanent and does not regress. That inherent existence, that is the subject, the emptiness of the self-emptiness of the eye, is acceptable in conventional terms on the part of the ultimate truth. The subject, the eye, is born from causes and conditions, and relies on others. The eye is a transformation of others that is seen by the eye. On the part of the conventional truth, that is not acceptable even in conventional terms. (320n) Permanent is called Akutastha Kuta (藏文:ཀཱུ་ཊ་) means the accumulation of causes and conditions. Stha (藏文:སྠ་) means to abide. A (藏文:ཨ) means to prevent. Therefore, the nature of the emptiness of the self-emptiness of the eye is not permanent, that is, it does not abide in accumulation. That is, it is not made by causes and conditions, and it does not rely on others. And the inner eye, etc., from the causes and conditions of inherent existence, the inner result of inherent existence, because the eye is born, because of emptiness, that lack of inherent existence, after abiding for a little while, also transforms and regresses, that is, it is destroyed, that is, it is not impermanent.

Therefore, regarding the doctrine of impermanence, the Twenty Thousand Verses states: "Because that aggregate exists, it exists; because the nature of existence is not perceived, therefore there is no aggregate existing." Having become like that, what will perish? Therefore, there is no perishing, the nature of dharma without birth and without cessation is its own nature. It is said like that. Its meaning is that, in conventional terms, emptiness is the nature of all dharmas, and the nature of all dharmas is emptiness is reasonable. Because all dharmas have not newly created their own nature by all dharmas, and ultimately will not change, and for that reality, at any time, there will be no confusion. Therefore, it is said as follows: "Self-nature does not arise from causes and conditions. The self-nature that arises from causes and conditions will become fabricated. How can it be reasonable to call self-nature fabricated? Self-nature is not fabricated, nor does it depend on others." It is said like that. (320b) Thus, in the treatise of the teacher, it is said: Do you acknowledge that a special self-nature arises from non-fabricated, non-dependent characteristics? For the eye and so on, not only in the ultimate truth, but also in the conventional truth, because of looking at self-nature in a reversed way, for those who say that the eye itself, with the self-nature that is not empty of self-nature, is the object of consciousness that generates self-grasping, is established as self-existent, in order to eliminate that reversed self-nature, the emptiness of the eye itself, is its self-nature that is not reversed, in the mundane world of dependent origination, the fame exists in the world itself, and the Bhagavan has clarified it. If you do not analyze it in this way, but speak of the terms of bondage and liberation, when establishing the nature of the two truths that are its basis, you speak of the special nature as a repetition in accordance with that fame. For the conventional, the true phenomenon that originally has no self-nature is established as the ultimate truth, therefore, the very absence of self-nature is the non-reversed self-nature of the two truths. The self-nature that is established by self-nature cannot be self-nature in both truths. It is said like that. Even if that statement is analyzed, it cannot be established, but if you do not analyze it in this way, the fame of the world of other schools that speak of dependent origination, reasonably without self-nature, is self-nature.
