To say that another's reasoning is unreasonable based on what has already been established is, for us, to exhaust the accusations and speak only with that one fault. For example, just as a blurry comb cannot harm what is not blurry, if one establishes cause and effect without examining self-nature, then what harm is there in attributing faults to cause and effect with self-nature? Therefore, the debate of the proponents of reality against the Madhyamikas is merely reciting the scriptures (315b) with their own conceptualizations. They engage in refutation and establishment, thinking that the Madhyamikas will surely accept the opposite meaning that they desire. Because they think that the Madhyamikas will also debate self-side, other-side, what is to be established, what establishes, censure, refutation, etc., as they desire. Therefore, the refutations that the proponents of reality make against the Madhyamikas are all because they have not understood the meaning of the former at all, and they initiate their own conceptualizations to refute. In the song of realization of my father Sangye Nyenpa, it says: All of you who want to establish me as true, who accept scriptures and reasoning, because you are very afraid of me being without self-nature, you do meaningless refutations and establishments. If there is no clinging to the two aspects of me being true and me being without self-nature, then the debate of refutation and establishment will return to itself. Billions of scriptures and reasoning cannot harm. Even if I have not gone to the monastery of Phodong Sang, from the depths where the mist has cleared in the plains, the lion's roar that surpasses all has been proclaimed. And, the noble Khachö Wangpo said: No matter how good the view of the doctrine is, it goes against the meaning of reality. Just as it is transformed here: No matter how good the reasoning established by valid cognition is, it contradicts reality and gives blackness. That is the meaning. For that reason, if one examines the example of the eye and the magnet, etc., acting without contact, it will not be established because the fault is the same. The scriptures say: Even if the lamp does not touch, if it can dispel darkness, (316a) then the darkness that exists in all the worlds will be dispelled by the lamp that exists here. And, in the "Refutation of Debate," it says: Or even if it does not touch the fire, if it can dispel darkness, then the fire that exists here can dispel the darkness of all the realms of the world.

To make one realize the absence of inherent existence is easiest, just as it is not easy to understand other natures. Why does one bind the world here with a net of bad speculation? Like illusion, dream, image, etc., with the example established in the world itself, to make one realize that all phenomena of samsara and nirvana are without inherent existence is easiest, just as it is not easy to understand that phenomena have inherent existence for others, because there is no example of such establishment for both. Therefore, whether you are cursed by someone for the sake of harming the reputation of the world, you yourself are wrapped in a cocoon of speculation like silk by innate afflictions, and trapped in the net of bad speculation of pervasive imputation, why do you still bind this world here with the clinging to truth from the previous inverted clinging to reality? Even if you don't bind it, it has been bound by the clinging to elaboration since beginningless time. After binding, it is madly spinning in the fierce waves of the ocean of suffering of samsara, how pitiful! Therefore, please abandon the unreasonable argument that "my Madhyamaka reasoning is irrefutable." Therefore, for all phenomena of samsara and nirvana, there is no valid cognition of direct perception or inference that holds the object of action to be established as such, because the object to be measured, its own characteristic and general characteristic, are not (316b) established. Like an image. If so, the direct perception that is not examined is the only one that is generally known to be consistent with reality in the world, and that is the omniscient wisdom itself. If it is not established, then it should be established. Because that valid cognition is contrary to all self-awareness and other-awareness in any aspect of the object and the subject. In the commentary, it is said, "That is also existent in conventional truth following the words of scripture." Saying this, and recording that "it is not inherently existent" is not the view of the teacher Chandrakirti, because if reason can establish all phenomena in name, it can also establish omniscient wisdom. If it cannot be established, then even in name, it is impossible to prevent the elaboration of all phenomena, or even in name, everything.
