If it is not sentient beings of the degenerate age, but you think that the continuum of that person of the degenerate age has the essence of becoming a Buddha, then you say that if it is a sentient being, it is not a Buddha. No matter what you think in your heart, you still believe that sentient beings of the degenerate age are not Buddhas, but the way of expressing it seems to be. Therefore, everything that is said by using the skill of fabricated memory is like the speech of outsiders. When analyzed with correct reasoning, how can there be a time when it conforms to reality? The fourth is unreasonable, because if one realizes the emptiness of reality that is not established by conceptual thought, but the way of abiding from one's own side, then one realizes the selflessness of phenomena, then all sentient beings, including internal and external (31a) heretics, will effortlessly realize the selflessness of phenomena. Because they congenitally regard the basis of difference, such as the difference between phenomena and consciousness, as true, and according to your view, grasping at reality is not congenital, but established by nominal measure. Even if they only cling to the differences made by conceptual thought, such as extremely small particles and indivisible moments, that is not a congenital view of the self of phenomena. And the kind of self-grasping that you think has never appeared in the world and in the scriptures before, and it is impossible to find such an experience in their continuum. In this regard, do you think that the reason is not established because that kind of self-grasping has never appeared in the world and in the scriptures? Whether it has appeared or not, it doesn't matter. The latter reason is established, because all sentient beings, including internal and external heretics, as long as they see things that can function, they will congenitally generate the mind that thinks that the self that performs the three actions of action, agent, and object is real. Although they will fabricate some differences in the reality of the self with conceptual thought, they have not experienced the situation where the object and aspect are different from the congenital self-grasping. Therefore, even if one searches in one's own or others' continuum, one cannot find the object and experience of the congenital confused self-grasping of the two, namely, the action that is established by the way of abiding on the basis of the self-established action of things, which is pointed out by Manjushri as the object to be refuted. If you say that this is not established either.

We all sentient beings (31b) have different ways of engaging with the innate self-grasping on phenomena, and the way you, teachers and students, engage with the innate self-grasping on phenomena is not the same. If you slander the truth of all sentient beings' phenomena, what should we do? Or, regarding the way the innate appearance of the truth of phenomena arises, either we all sentient beings and you two are driven mad by the power of disease and demons, or one of us has lost the ability to engage with wisdom. If that is the case, we all sentient beings and you two need to be diagnosed for madness. Furthermore, the innate self-grasping that exists in the minds of all sentient beings, the illusion that a pillar is truly a pillar, and a vase is truly a vase, along with attachment, has deluded all sentient beings, as stated by the Complete Buddha and the glorious protector Nagarjuna and others. The kind of innate self-grasping that you desire, we have heard from your own mouths as follows: This innate [self-grasping] that my venerable Manjushri acknowledges is said to be impossible to recognize unless it arises from the experience of cultivating the Madhyamaka view. If you have the experience of Madhyamaka arising in your minds, then I prostrate with great reverence to the self and innate self-grasping that can be recognized but does not appear in the minds of any sentient being. Therefore, the teacher of this world for us is the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Buddha himself. We will follow in the footsteps of the great chariot (32a) who prophesied that wherever he looks, it will become the self of phenomena, and if he does not look there, it will not become the self of phenomena. Other than that, we will not follow any other temporary loving Manjushri or others. Therefore, how could I consider it true that your special selflessness of phenomena and person, which you say is no different in the Madhyamaka to be realized in both Sutra and Tantra? The emptiness that you desire, which you believe is merely the supreme means of ascertaining the feeling of intercourse, also needs to be examined. Like this, at that time, do you grasp all the feelings of intercourse that have a human basis? Or do you grasp a particular feeling of intercourse that has a human basis? If it is the former, then all sentient beings have already
