It will become stainless, becoming the unique Purusha without equal, thereby attaining liberation. At that time, like the stainless transformation, I am not stainless, but a permanent entity. Just as nature and transformation are agents, I am not the nature of an agent, because it is indifferent to things. That is without qualities, because it lacks the nature of Rajas, Tamas, and Sattva. That is without action, because it is pervasive; those are the distinctions of Purusha. Among them, nature is the agent, but for transformations, which of the two is the agent or non-agent? Among them, Rajas, Tamas, and Sattva are the three qualities. (283a) Rajas is the nature of the mind moving and entering into objects. Tamas is the nature of the body and so on being heavy and ignorant. Sattva is the nature of the body and so on being light, extremely clear, and bright. Pleasure, pain, and equanimity are categories. The state where the three qualities are equal is the Pradhana, because here the qualities become primary, and the transformations become completely pacified. Those are the nature of the unchanging state. This nature is a pot. This is a blanket, thus determining the object is great. From that, I should be regarded as having a share, having such and such aspects is ego. That will become three aspects, namely, the variation with a painful part, the Sattva with a happy part, and the Tamas with an equanimous part. From the first ego arise the five Tanmatras of form, etc. From the five Tanmatras arise the five elements of earth, etc. From the second ego arise the five organs and the five objects, and the mind having the nature of both, totaling eleven. The third ego is what causes the entry of the previous two egos. Thus, the Samkhya heretics investigate, and relying on the slight distinctions of the self, the tenets of the heretics become different. The Vaisheshika is intelligence, pleasure, pain, desire, hatred, effort, Dharma and Adharma (283b) and the force of combination, sequentially grasping objects, experiencing desired objects, and the opposite of that. Having hope for desired objects, unwanted things

The object of the heterodox is to know the higher realms and definite goodness, and the opposite of these, which arises from knowledge and becomes the cause of knowledge, and the activities of my qualities are ninefold. As long as these nine qualities are gathered in me, it is called samsara for the purpose of accomplishing good and non-good deeds. When the self-nature of beings, such as freedom, is realized as suffering, and when the qualities such as wisdom are cut off with their roots, I become a state of being alone without qualities, therefore it is called liberation. This self is also constant, the doer, the enjoyer, possessing qualities, of the nature of non-mind, and because of being pervasive, it is said to be without activity. Some say that it has the activity of contraction and expansion. The Lokayata (materialists) say that just as the space in different vessels such as pots, the self is one, but it is diverse because of different bodies. Among them, the Samkhya, Vedanta, Guhyaka, Nirgrantha, Mimamsa, and Vaisheshika schools consider the self to be consciousness, while the Vaisheshika, the knowledgeable, etc., consider it to be matter, and the Lokayata consider the body and life to be of the same essence. Furthermore, the Samkhya, Vaisheshika, the knowledgeable, etc. (284a) consider the self to be constant, while the Nirgrantha, Mimamsa, and Vaisheshika schools consider the nature to be constant but the state to be impermanent, and the Lokayata consider it to be constant from birth to death, and then annihilated. Secondly, there are four points: refuting the essence of the self, refuting the differences, it is not reasonable to be other than the aggregates, and showing that it is not the basis of self-grasping. The first point is: Like the child of a barren woman, because it is separated from birth, such a self does not exist, this is also not reasonable as the basis of self-grasping, this is also not accepted as existing in conventional truth. The self that is now said to be constant and the enjoyer does not exist, because it is separated from birth. Such a self is also not reasonable as the basis of innate self-grasping in the world, because it does not conform to its way of grasping. This not only does not exist in ultimate truth, but it is also not accepted as existing as the object of innate self-grasping in conventional truth, because it is not perceived as such. Like the child of a barren woman. As above.
