If it becomes self-grasping, you would not want that either. If according to the first case, then it, the dharma, should become grasping at the self of phenomena. Because of the first case. The pervasion is valid. If you accept, then it, the dharma, should not be the view of the perishable aggregate. Because of accepting that, because the pervasion is what you yourself have promised. It is obviously contradictory. Also, if such a mind is not a true grasping at phenomena, then the eyes, ears, etc., would become non-dual dharmas for it. If such a mind is neither grasping at the self of a person nor grasping at the self of phenomena, then it will become the three aggregates of self-grasping. If viewing another person as the self, then it will not become viewing a person as the self, because without observing that other person's perishable (278b) aggregate, the view of a person as the self will not arise, because without observing the limbs and parts, it is impossible to observe the one with limbs and the one with parts. Therefore, for both Prasangikas and Svatantrikas, there is good and bad in the view of the two selflessnesses, because there is a difference in whether or not the self to be refuted by the sign of that selflessness is truly recognized. This passage, in the past, in the treatises, commentaries, oral instructions, meditation guides, notes, and emptiness lectures of the Madhyamaka masters that appeared in the sacred land and the land of snow (Tibet), there is not even half a sentence of such a clear statement in the songs of realization, I can swear to this. If you say that it is because you have little learning and hearing that it is so, please show reliable and pure scriptural authority. Moreover, you, for all dharmas and persons, are seized by the co-emergent mind of ordinary beings who hold onto nominal concepts, and this, as if established by direct perception, is precisely why you are so afraid of the emptiness of emptiness, the supreme intention of the Buddhas and great Bodhisattvas. If you establish the karma and result of the continuum of beings, then, matter is conditioned, the moments before and after are different, the space between matter is empty, and there is great worry that the cause will be interrupted in producing the result, and like some internal and external schools of thought, for generalities and particulars, and for obtaining and not wasting, and for the alaya-vijnana, like this, you acknowledge the truly existent, because you cannot abandon the attachment to matter, so as the basis of karma and result, a perishable material thing, and, as the basis of karma and result, the two selves (279n) are acknowledged, then, are those two, the basis of karma and result, one or different?

Then, all things should become the person who is the basis of cause and effect. Since you yourself consider all the destruction of things to be things, and if the destruction of things can be the person who is the basis of cause and effect, then there is no harm in the destruction of things themselves, and the reason for establishing the thesis is the same. The first reason is admitted. The second reason is established by valid cognition. If you admit, then all things will become persons, which will become an unprecedented good saying. If they are different, then if one person commits one act of killing, then that person's continuum will obtain two actions and two fruits, because the self that has become the basis of cause and effect and the destruction that is the basis of that self, each accumulate actions that have the basis of things, and therefore the fruits will also arise separately in that way. Also, it is not established, if one accumulates the actions of a person, then these two combined will only accumulate one action. Then, is such an action partless or partful? If it is the former, then it should not become part of the action done by the combination of two bases, because that action is partless. If you admit, then that action was not done by the parts of the two bases. If it is the latter, then that action should not be one, because there are separate parts done by the two bases. In particular, the self that the Madhyamikas must necessarily admit according to their own system and the self that is the object of negation of the reason, these two, plus one, there are three, except for some of the Sthavira Nikaya and the Mahasamghika in our own school, no scripture of any of our own (279b) schools says so. To say so is to accomplish what the glorious Chandrakirti refuted in this treatise, is this not explaining the glorious Chandrakirti's treatise well? Although there were lower schools of our own school in the past that said that the person who must be admitted is the self, but for those who claim to be Mahayanists, admitting the person's self has not occurred before you in Han and Tibet, therefore you followers, if the basis is established, then the saying that "non-self" is not pervasive to the general Buddhists like the wind is not valid, because the self that must be admitted, its basis is established and is the self. This is the uncommon tenet of the Prasangikas, which was declared by Manjushri. Therefore, it is appropriate to add a large volume again, because it is necessary to organize the tenets. If the basis is established, then
