Because there is no examination, the Buddha's wisdom does not see any inherent nature in it. Such an establishment is reasonable in the unexamined world, because it does not contradict the world's reputation. The Yogācāra school establishes the three natures and the nature of things, which is not only unreasonable in the ultimate truth, but also unreasonable in the unexamined conventional truth, because the self-nature established in this way also contradicts the measure of the world. When the Madhyamaka school examines, it will not say that emptiness, the ultimate truth, is the nature of non-conditioned dharmas. If it is said that way, then the extensive negation that both truths have self-nature becomes meaningless, and if non-self-nature becomes self-nature, then there is no worse statement than that, just like saying that a rabbit has no horns but saying that it is a rabbit's horn. Therefore, when the three natures are established without examination, the conventional dependent origination is other-powered, because in name, it is called arising in dependence on causes and conditions. (250b) Self-nature, reality, suchness, and things and consciousness that have become the essence of the unconditioned are all completely imputed, because they are falsely distinguished in this way from the dharmas of conventional dependent origination. Emptiness, the ultimate truth, is the perfectly established nature, because if conditioned dharmas are established as conventional truth from the reputation of dependence and establishment, then it will be considered that unconditioned dharmas are the ultimate truth. This is only in accordance with the reputation of other worlds, and this is the intention of the sutra. The Yogācāra school says: Non-real discrimination or mere consciousness is other-powered, the apprehended and the apprehender are completely imputed, and emptiness with other-powered completely imputed is said to be the perfectly established nature. That is unreasonable, because it contradicts the acceptance of the three natures. Even in name, apart from the other-powered conventional dependent origination, which is like an illusion, which is called in the world, the nature of the completely imputed and the perfectly established cannot be seen by the present measure. If it is established that the other-powered has the perfectly established nature of self-nature and immutability, then it will become completely imputed, because the perfectly established nature of self-nature and immutability is only suitable for those who are not created by causes and conditions. If the other-powered created by causes and conditions has the perfectly established nature of self-nature, then it is only completely imputed.

Therefore, the meaning of the sutra stating that the completely imputed does not exist and the dependent arising exists is that the dependent arising exists like an illusion without examining existence or non-existence, because it exists in name only in the context of refutation without examination. The completely imputed, which does not accord with the innate worldly fame fabricated by the tenets of oneself and others (251a), does not exist, because it only clings to it as true and does not even establish it in name only, so understand. Furthermore, it is also unreasonable for the Mind-Only school to say that the dependent arising is established as a substance and that the completely imputed does not exist in meaning but exists in name only, because the establishment of the dependent arising as a substance has already been refuted, and because the apprehended and apprehender, which are considered to be completely imputed, do not exist apart from the nature of the dependent arising, because it is famous as a dependent arising, artificial, and functional phenomenon that exists in name only. The completely imputed that you accept, the nature of that which has the characteristic of not being artificial, is completely imputed as not being established even in name only. Furthermore, the sutra states that the completely imputed is without self-nature, and the dependent arising is without self-nature of arising, and the thoroughly established is without self-nature of ultimate reality. The meaning of what is said is very reasonable if, as the Madhyamikas say, there are three self-natures, because the completely imputed, like a rabbit's horn, is not established by valid cognition even in name only, and because the dependent arising, like an illusion, does not arise by its own nature but depends on causes and conditions, and because the thoroughly established is also the nature of emptiness in name only, so it is also without self-nature, and because it is not deceptive, it is also established in ultimate reality. Established in ultimate reality, because it is not deceptive, this is also established only in the unexamined conventional, and if examined, the ultimate reality is separated from deception and non-deception (251b), then it is necessary to think about how it is established. As the Mind-Only school says, the dependent arising also does not become without the self-nature of arising, because it is accepted to arise in ultimate reality. Thirdly, the reasoning of refutation is explained, the conclusion, and the presentation of other means of refutation. The first is, arising from two is also not the nature of reason, because for what reason? Because the faults that have already been stated fall on the head. The naked ascetics say that external and internal objects arise from both self and other.
