Indeed, for those worldly beings who are to be tamed, the very nature beyond the world is shown by merely establishing worldly fame. Some doubt this, saying: worldly fame cannot prevent worldly conventional truth, because in the world, conventional truth is considered to be true (236a). Furthermore, if fame prevents fame, it will harm the world. The mere appearance like an illusion cannot be refuted by reasoning. If so, the first two reasons are not pervasive, because the conventional truth that is considered true is also false in the conventional. If the false itself is used as proof of its own truth, it will become uncertain. Moreover, if fame prevents fame, it will harm the world, but this only exists in the world itself, not for the Madhyamikas, because the Madhyamikas do not establish fame as their own system. If it harms the world, it will be good for us, because they will be free from deluded minds. The last reason is not established, because for the appearance like an illusion, when the aspect of clinging to the true appearance is first refuted by the reasoning of hearing and thinking, the manifestation of clinging to the truth will cease. Later, through the power of the wisdom of hearing and thinking and the combination of samadhi, from the interdependence of the yoga of tranquility and insight, the uncontaminated wisdom born of meditation or reasoning arises, and when the habit of true appearance is uprooted, the appearance of the mere appearance like an illusion will also become pure like the objectless sky. For example, for someone with blurred vision, when hair streaks appear on a bowl-like object, on the level of clinging to the appearance, although an experienced doctor says that the hair streaks do not exist, but are due to the power of blurred vision, and refutes their existence with the words of reasoning, then the clinging to the existence of hair streaks is reversed and understood to be non-existent. Even so (236b), the appearance of hair streaks has not yet been reversed, so to reverse it, the doctor has him take well-prepared medicine, and when the blurred vision is eliminated by the power of the medicine, the hair streaks also disappear like the objectless sky. Therefore, if the object of mere appearance has not become pacified, how can the establishment of mere appearance be described to oneself or others until then? As long as those who appear in that way exist, one should follow their appearance and explain the infallible principles of cause and effect, etc.

If it is said that there is nothing, then what appears to be infallible cause and effect, if analyzed, is only infallible relative to a certain situation. If it is said that the infallible cause and effect established by its own nature, that is not established, so it is said that karma and cause and effect are infallible, also because each of their own nature is emptiness. Thus, by being free from elaboration, the world is made to understand, and by going beyond the wisdom arising from hearing, thinking, and meditation, one attains the other shore, thereby being free from delusion, gaining power over irreversible wisdom, and ultimately realizing enlightenment. Therefore, for the refutation and elimination of the appearance of conventional truth, as long as these appearances have not been eliminated, worldly people should strive. For the noble yogis who see all phenomena as being like the sky, free from objects of focus, there is nothing to be eliminated in their equanimity. Considering this, in the song of my great father Repa, it says: For those who cling to the reality of karma and its effects, there are all sorts of contradictions of clinging to reality. For those who do not cling to the reality of karma and its effects, what is the use of the contradictions of clinging to reality? What is the use of establishing the two truths? All of these are just the clamor of the world, and the world argues meaninglessly. When the basis of the argument, the object of focus, is pacified, the knot is naturally untied. No matter how the opponents who hold to a philosophical system try to find fault and slander, it is like throwing weapons at the sky, not even scratching a hair. There is nothing to be done, and nothing that must be done. Thus it is said. Apart from that, mere appearance does not need to be refuted by reason. If it cannot be refuted, it will become like this: mere appearance will also become the truth of ultimate reality. Because in that case, it will become a meaning that cannot be harmed by reason and can be analyzed. Moreover, worldly people will not be able to understand this. Because the false phenomena of conventional truth, those with inherent existence, cannot be refuted by reason. This is pervasive. If reason cannot refute it, then the path will also be unable to refute it. If it is not an object to be refuted by reason and the path, then there is no other method of refutation. Then, just as all the terms of the world and philosophical proponents are equally mistaken, without analysis, why can the terms of the world be acknowledged in front of others, but not spoken like the terms of philosophical proponents? Most of the terms of philosophical proponents
