It is said that one should not strive to practice, but you have treated his words like dog droppings, and instead said the opposite. Therefore, here, at that time, what kind of reasoning can prove that it is not born from self and other? Since that kind of reasoning is not established even in name, then from where does your birth come from? Like this, in name, birth and non-birth become two extremes of self and other, and this principle is widely known to the wise like the wind, don't you know that? Even if you know, if you still use afflictions to disturb the Dharma of the noble Chandrakirti (Dpal ldan zla), we can do nothing about it. Therefore, it cannot be assumed that the later object of memory arises after the previous object of experience has ceased. Because no matter whether the previous objects of seeds and causes have ceased or not, the later real objects of sprouts and so on will not arise, so this view is strongly opposed here. As the sutra says, "Therefore, when the sprout is born, the seed does not cease." and so on. Also, in the Madhyamaka treatises of Nagarjuna and his son, the causal relationship of dependent origination is explained in detail, in which it is not considered that the previous object of experience ceases or does not cease, and the later real object of cause and effect will arise. If this is assumed, the causal relationship will become eternalistic or nihilistic. Just like the faults of "cessation and actions will be wasted" and so on. Therefore, the later consciousness will also recall "I have seen it before", because the previous and later consciousness are not different entities. Whatever has been experienced, memory will not be what has not been experienced; whatever has been determined by experience, memory will not be what has not been determined. This way of experiencing and remembering is only the way of worldly names, and does not need too much analysis, because all worldly names are false. If the meaning of the words is different, there can be no experience and memory, and this is said to dispel the wrong views of the realists. The Madhyamikas do not prove it through analysis, because the self-system is not a different entity, so experience and memory are reasonable. Also, like some people think that the consciousness of different continuums is not a different entity, but the same, so one will say to one's own previous experience "I have experienced it", but why don't others call it that way? If you raise a question like this and answer it, it is unreasonable, because the consciousness of different continuums is worldly.

Because it is acknowledged elsewhere, the Madhyamikas also do not acknowledge that it is not other. The third is: Therefore, if self-awareness does not exist, by what will your dependent arising be held? Since the agent, action, and object are not one, it is not reasonable for it to hold itself. Vijnanavada, by what will the consciousness of your dependent arising, which is the object-possessor, be held? It will not be held, because of the reason just stated that self-awareness does not exist, and also because other-awareness does not exist. It is not reasonable for consciousness itself to hold itself, because the three, agent, action, and object, are not one. Just as the cutter, the tree to be cut, and cutting into pieces are not one. The Lankavatara Sutra says: Just as a sword does not cut its own edge, and a finger does not touch itself, so is the self-aware mind. So it is said. The third is: If the dependent arising, which is unborn and unknown, and possesses the nature of reality, exists, then by what reason should this not exist? What harm does the son of a barren woman cause to others? Now, it is unreasonable to assert that dependent arising is the realm of non-conceptual wisdom, and not the realm of conceptualization. If the dependent arising, as stated above, is not born from self or other, and possesses the nature of being unknown by either self or other, and the dependent arising exists as the reality of the nature of non-duality, then by what reason is it that the son of a barren woman also exists in the same way? Therefore, asserting that dependent arising exists, while the son of a barren woman should not exist, what harm does this cause to other Vijnanavadins? (231b) How much benefit has dependent arising bestowed? Therefore, being equal to near and far, one should also consider the son of a barren woman to exist in the realm of non-dual noble wisdom, like dependent arising, in an inexpressible nature. Dependent arising is the object of the activity of noble wisdom. The Ornament of the Sutras says: If that does not exist, how can its cause be clearly perceived? Likewise, if the place becomes other, then one will grasp at unreal discriminations. Just as the world is not confused, it enjoys desired objects from its cause. Likewise, diligent practitioners are not confused, the place becomes other, and they enjoy desired objects. And, it makes the conditioned phenomena of the three realms truly not
