Since it has already been prohibited to say, "If something arises from something else, then thick darkness would also arise from flames." Therefore, since there is no difference in other things, all things would arise from all things. Here, "རྒྱུན་(gyun)" is the Tibetan translation of the Sanskrit word "tantra," and the root "ཏ་ནུ་(tanu)" means to expand. Because it arises continuously, for the branches of continuous things, that is, the abilities possessed by things that are different in previous and subsequent moments, it prevents other things from producing other results, which is actually preventing the previous seed from producing the later sprout. If one does not understand such a key point, later Tibetan Madhyamikas would strive to prove that the sprout arises from the substance of the seed, which is slandering the good doctrine. Second, regarding the answer to refuting the fault and the refutation of it. The first is: If there is a continuous difference there, because those things do not have a continuous difference, is there no fault? If in the course of the flow of consciousness, there are moments before and after the continuous things that are different from each other, but because these moments before and after have only one continuity and no difference, is there no fault of all things arising from all things? The second is: This is something to be proven. Because there is no occasion for a non-different continuity. The dharmas that rely on Maitreya and Nearsightedness, because they are other, do not belong to one continuum. Whatever is individually different by its own characteristics, those cannot belong to the same continuum. If that were the case, there would be no fault, but this has not been established, so this is something to be proven, because there is no occasion for a non-different continuity, because for the different things before and after the moments of consciousness, it is impossible for there to be one non-different continuity. Just like the dharmas that rely on Maitreya and Nearsightedness, because they are other, do not belong to one continuum. Whatever is individually different by its own characteristics before and after the moments of consciousness, those cannot belong to the same continuum, because they are other. Therefore, it is excluded by "consciousness arises and does not arise from the complete and incomplete maturation of abilities," because the point that "there is no consciousness without an object of knowledge" is established.

Therefore. Secondly, there are two aspects: establishing the thesis and refuting it. The first has three parts: showing the nature of the sense organs and objects, the arising of consciousness from ability even without objects, and illustrating with examples. The first is: From what inherent power does eye consciousness arise? Immediately and completely it arises; That power, the basis of one's own consciousness, The world understands as the sense organ, the eye. It is said that the Mind-Only school establishes the sense organs and objects based on ability, and establishes the meaning that even without the external sense organs formed by color, consciousness can still arise. What is the inherent power that causes the consciousness of the eye sense organ to arise? It is said that similar consciousness, when the previous consciousness (215b) ceases, matures on the subsequent consciousness. Thus, like the habits placed by the sense organs of objects, the eye consciousness arises immediately following that appearance. The uninterrupted ability of consciousness to arise is the power of the basis of one's own consciousness that gives rise to the eye. However, due to the power of ignorance, the world understands and names this colored sense organ as the eye sense organ. However, there are no sense organs such as eyes and ears that are different from consciousness. Secondly: Here, consciousness arises from the sense organs, Apart from external objects, From one's own seed it arises, Not realizing the appearance of blue, People assume external objects. It is said that there are no sense organs different from consciousness, and objects are also not different from consciousness. Here, just as Bandhuka and Kimshuka, etc., arise with a red appearance, like a turning stone, without relying on external colors, they naturally arise with a red appearance. Similarly, the consciousness arising from the eye and other sense organs does not rely on external objects such as blue, but from the power thrown by one's own seed, which has been transmitted from beginningless time, and following that power, the appearance of blue and other objects arises. However, people in the world do not realize this, so they think and acknowledge that what appears to consciousness is an external object. For example, the reflection of a jewel tied to a branch of a tree growing by the edge of a very clear lake, although it appears in the water, there is actually no external jewel. Similarly, the reflection of an object on consciousness
