There are two parts. First, the similarity between the truth and falsehood of objects and consciousness, and second, the consequence that if it were not so, others would also see it. First: Whatever mind possesses eye defects, whatever hairs are seen by the power of the defects, because that mind is related, both are true, in clear seeing, both are false. Furthermore, although there is no external object, there is still consciousness, because those with defects perceive non-existent hairs, etc. This is not reasonable, because it is like a dream. Whatever mind possesses eye defects, whatever hairs, etc., are seen by the power of being tainted by the defects, because that deluded mind is related, the appearance of hairs also appears, therefore both the object and the subject are true, in the clear seeing that is free from defects, both are false. Because without an object, the consciousness of the subject cannot be established. Second: If there is mind without an object of knowledge, the object of that hair and the eye are related, even without defects, the mind of hair would arise. If it is not so, then it does not exist. If it is said to be unestablished, then it is shown to be established: If there is a mind that appears there without the object of knowledge, hair, then the object of that hair and the eye are related to the object of a cane, etc., when an eye without defects looks at it, a mind that appears as hair would arise in the same way, because there is no object. As a result of such an extreme, the mind of hair arises without defects, if it is not so, then the arising of the consciousness of a subject without an object does not exist. There are two parts: Refuting the establishment of ability, and refuting the way of establishing tenets based on ability. First, there are two parts: Answering the refutation of faults, and refuting it. First: Because the ability of the mind is not mature for those who see, therefore it does not change for them. If it is said that it is not because of the absence of a real object, but because the existence or non-existence of an object determines whether consciousness arises or not, if it is so, then it may be allowed, but the maturation or non-maturation of the habitual tendencies established by previous consciousness is the cause of whether consciousness arises or not, therefore, when the habitual tendencies of the appearance of hair in previous consciousness are completely mature, even if there is no hair, the consciousness of that appearance arises, those who see without defects.

If the previous consciousness has not left the habit of hair appearance, therefore the ability to generate the consciousness of hair appearance is immature, therefore for those without dizziness, the consciousness of hair appearance will not arise, because it is separated from the knowable object of existence, wouldn't the consciousness that holds it arise? Divided into two: establishing the thesis, explaining. The first one: Because that power is absent, this is not established. If there is something called ability, it will cause the arising or non-arising of consciousness due to maturity or immaturity, through the reasoning that will be explained, because there is no that ability, so this ability is not established. The second one: generally showing that ability is impossible in the three times, separately explaining that it is impossible in the past and future. The first one: The arisen has ability, this matter is absolutely non-existent, in the unarisen nature, there is also no ability. If there is something called ability, then it is considered to be an ability related to the present consciousness, or an ability related to the past and future? If it is like the first case, then, for the present consciousness itself that has arisen, it is impossible to have ability, because when saying the consciousness of ability, it is the sixth expression of association (213a), If so, because ability and consciousness are not other, and consciousness has become the result, it should not be said that the present is the cause. If the present consciousness is the cause, then the consciousness of the result will become causeless, because the ability itself cannot become the cause now. Or because that ability is not other than itself. If the first reason is not established, then the ability now is the subject, you cannot become the present, because you must become the cause of yourself. The reason is accepted. If it is not pervasive, then that is the subject, you do not have to produce you, because you have already been established, because it is the present. If the ability to generate consciousness is not other than the present consciousness, then it is the subject, when the sprout arises, the seed will not perish. Because the nature of cause and effect is one. Also, if it is said that the present consciousness arises from ability, it is the fifth expression of the source of arising, then, the present consciousness that has arisen should not arise from ability, because the existing thing now does not depend on others. If it is like the second case, then, for the nature of the past and future unarisen, there is also no ability, because it is harmed by reasoning. Divided into two: the ability of the future and the past
