The current analogy becomes meaningless because those three in the dream are not untrue falsehoods, but are truthful in that they have a real meaning and function. If it is not pervasive, then it is naturally pervasive. If the objects, dominance, and attention in a dream are true in their ability to perform a function, then all the phenomena such as form established by that example cannot be established as having a false nature that is incapable of performing a true function. Just as a pot cannot be used as an analogy to prove that sound is impermanent if it is established without being made, this is the stainless reasoning of glorious Chandrakirti. The teacher Lekdenjed considers that even in conventional terms, forms and so on do not arise from external objects, but from the alaya-consciousness. He refutes that view and establishes that in mere conventional terms, forms and so on arise from external objects, but in ultimate terms, external objects such as forms are also not established by their own nature, but are empty. If this system also establishes it in conventional terms, it will degenerate from the Madhyamaka system, and he makes such accusations. The great Shar Tsongkhapa said that for the Svatantrika-Madhyamaka's own system, it is not that it shows that there are no objects and subjects such as elephants in dreams, but that it deceitfully accepts all inverted conventionalities as true conventionalities, because there the consciousness of the mistaken object that appears is considered to be infallible. (209b) And, because of this view, the objects and subjects of dreams are also implicitly acknowledged as true in the sense of true conventionality. Moreover, you Prasangikas, having refuted both true establishment and truth, and having stated that they are untrue, as an example, you have stated that true conventionality is like a dream that you have deceitfully acknowledged as true. Because worldly people consider ultimate truth to be true, the true conventionality established in the presence of innate wisdom is famous and established to all worldly people. Because of that reason and example, worldly people will not realize that true conventionality is not true, as you do. If both the analogy and the thesis are also truly established in conventionality, then they become equally established, and if they are not established, then they become equally unestablished. By saying so, there is no occasion for the proof to follow the property of the thesis. Therefore, the Prasangika that you have newly opened.

According to this way of speaking, the means of proof establishes the non-reality of what is to be established by its own establishment, and it refutes the true establishment in both truths. Saying this is just lip service, and it is not actually the case. Like the conclusion repeatedly stated in this way, like the teacher Lekden, in order to establish all phenomena as emptiness, the method of taking dreams as an analogy is considered wrong by the teacher Chandrakirti, because he admits that dreams, together with their objects, are real in name. But here in the land of snow (the region of the Gangdise Mountains), the teacher Chandrakirti takes dreams as an analogy for establishing emptiness, as an analogy for the fact that the objects themselves do not exist as truly established by their own nature, and not as saying that dreams, together with their objects, have a function in dreams, so they do not exist even in name. According to the view of those who regard this as a place of trust, in this analysis of Dharma, the teacher Chandrakirti should not criticize the teacher Lekden, because if saying that is flawed and wrong, then Chandrakirti's view will also become flawed and wrong. Second, like a dream, so too in this waking state, all things are false, and the mind is also non-existent, the object of action is also non-existent, and the senses are also non-existent. Just as the three are not established in a dream, so too in the waking state, the establishment of the three should be refuted. Just as the three, object, sense, and consciousness, are false in a dream, so too in this state of waking, the objects from form to omniscience are false, and the mind that apprehends these objects is also non-existent, and the object of its apprehension is also non-existent, and the senses, which are the basis, are also non-existent in the appearance and attachment of the two truths, as it is said in the sutra: Like the object of a magical being, it appears, but it is not truly there, the illusionist's creation is like a dream, such is the Dharma taught by the Sugata. And, the cycle of existence is like a dream, in this there is no birth and no death, the name and life of sentient beings are also not found, these dharmas are like bubbles and mirages. Third, here, as in the waking state, until the time of not waking, at that time the three are present.
