Sa. It is not reasonable for one mind, nor is it reasonable for many. In the commentary to this, it says, "According to the reasoning that the mind is one, the result will become simultaneous with the cause. According to the reasoning that the mind is different, the earlier and earlier limbs are destroyed, and are not the cause of the later and later ones." It is said. Furthermore, an object distinguished by cause and condition, that very collection, a dharma destroyed by the power of obstacles, is not an existing object. Thus, the great scholar Lekdenjed said in the Blaze of Reasoning: "By practicing the view of emptiness, the entry of afflictions is destroyed." Thus he spoke, because objects and destruction, which are the collection of causes and conditions and are different, are not observed as objects. For whom attachment, anger, and ignorance do not arise, thus, the power of the afflictions has been destroyed, and even afflictions that rely on existence cannot harm them. It is said. Since destruction is not an object, no dharma is related to relying on conditions. There, if the non-existent changes dependently, like destruction because there is no object. That is not desired as an antidote, because it depends on others, like destruction. It is said. Furthermore, the great scholar Shantarakshita, in the Compendium of Valid Cognition, in the context of refuting the permanence of objects, some non-Buddhists believe in two types of objects: impermanent objects such as pots, and permanent objects such as atoms and space. From this it follows that the sound of change, 'destruction-change,' means that destruction changes into an impermanent object, and that another object arises from destruction itself, so they think that destruction changes into an object. Since destruction does not have an undestroyed self, the object that immediately arises from it is not real. The sound of change, 'destruction-change,' does not indicate an impermanent object, just as a person does not become a donkey simply by being named a donkey. Destruction, which is non-existent, does not revert to being existent. There, as it is said: "Since destruction itself is selfless, what immediately arises from it does not exist. Also, what is unborn and connected with birth is like a lotus in the sky and so on. The term 'destruction-change' here, in this way, means 'not transformed into an object.' This meaning is to be understood, and no proof is desired. To some people

When something is called a donkey, merely giving it that name does not mean that it will acquire all the qualities of a donkey. The thing called "destruction" is called "the destruction of a thing." Even when proving it, this thing does not arise at all. Therefore, how can this be transformed? How can the destroyed thing itself be separated from the nature of the thing? Therefore, it should be considered as non-existent, not as the nature of the thing. For this, even the thing itself that transforms cannot be stated through the means of proof. (201a) The subsequent of a thing is immediately blocked by the moment. Therefore, there is no establishment of the nature of this phenomenon. Therefore, it is baseless to have the concept of permanence for this. It is said that some non-Buddhists believe that when an impermanent thing is destroyed, it will be transformed into a permanent thing. This has been widely refuted. How can one follow such evil concepts as the venerable Manjushri and the great Tsongkhapa? Because you are the great upholders of Buddhism. Also, Tsongkhapa, some of your own schools, such as those who say that the three times are substantially existent, as the Abhidharmakosha says, "One is produced by the past," like the past and the future, acting through destruction and non-arising, is also unreasonable. As the Pramāṇavārttika says, in the twenty-sixth chapter, "Examination of the Three Times," in its difficult commentary, it says: "Furthermore, are these past and future able to function, or are they not able to function? These are two different views. If they are able to function, then at that time, if they have the ability, they will become the present, just like the present that has not become an object of dispute. The syllogism is that whatever is able to function is like this, just like the present that has not become an object of dispute. The past and so on are also able to function. This will become the fallacy of the constant nature of self-nature. This is not an uncertain cause, because in this way, if it is separated from the present, then all the abilities of destruction and non-arising will be lost, just like a lotus in the sky. The syllogism is that whatever is not happening in the present will never be able to function, just like a lotus in the sky. The past and so on are also not the present." It is said. (201b)
