Because it was done. Even if it is applied to a scholar, it cannot be stopped. If many symbolic combinations have been made, what fault will there be? This scholar, regarding the basis of karma and its effects, which is accepted as a real thing by external and internal heretics, all the faults of saying that they are harmful will fall on his own desires. In particular, this scholar said that in order to fulfill the intention of the great scholar Nāgārjuna, the self-nature of karma and its basis, etc., has been completely eliminated, and even if it is not established in this way, the deceptive dharma of karma and its basis, etc., is only established as a name that arises in dependence on the nature of false appearances. If this scholar establishes the destruction of karma as the self-nature of things with great diligence, then in order to establish the school of the speaker of reality, the scholar Chandrakīrti, even a little bit of the taste of Madhyamaka will not arise. You (190a) scholars are establishing the great scholar Chandrakīrti as the great being who holds the teachings of Madhyamaka, but please do not lead his tradition elsewhere. In short, if others ask the Madhyamaka, how do you establish the basis of the relationship between cause and effect in name? If you examine it, the relationship between cause and effect is free from all arising and ceasing, but if you do not examine it, then the cause that has not ceased or has not been destroyed can produce the effect, because such arising does not harm the wisdom of the world, and there is no contradiction in appearance, so it is famous in the world, so it is only stated here for others. Also, at that time, the power of the causes and actions does not perish, that is, the explanation that the fruit ripens from what has not perished is very reasonable. In his own commentary on this, he said: "According to what principle, karma is not born from its own nature, according to that principle, there is no destruction of it, and it is not impossible for the fruit to arise from what has not been destroyed, so if all karmas are not destroyed, then the relationship between karma and fruit is very reasonable." Because it is said like this. In the peacock commentary on this, it is said: "There is no destruction of it, and it is not impossible for the fruit to arise from what has not been destroyed."

If understood in this way, then, the so-called "non-cessation" refers to the fact that there is no annihilation from the ultimate truth of karmic results. (190b) "Non-destruction" is used to negate non-existence. From the conventional truth of karmic results, there is no annihilation, and "non-destruction" is used for the non-negation aspect of unexamined appearances, which should be combined with specific situations. Such a statement is an excellent explanation. However, if, like you, you believe that in name, the destroyed things produced from causes can produce things as results, then would this great scholar think as stated in this commentary? "It is impossible for results to arise from destruction, therefore all actions are destroyed, that is, the relationship between actions and results is very reasonable." Because it is impossible for such a statement to appear, it has never been said that results of things arise from the cause of destroyed things. You say that this root commentary says so, which is simply slander. Your attachment is that if the nature of the dependent thing of the karmic result relationship does not exist, then it is impossible for things with function to exist. Because you cannot tolerate the impact of profound emptiness on wisdom, you think that deceptive things such as karmic results, from the immediate perspective, things with function, their nature is real, and you think that this is proven by the infallible conventional measure. This is completely controlled by the demon of clinging to reality, and cannot be escaped for the time being. This situation is also due to the evil deeds accumulated in the past. Alas, from now on, all the actions of accumulation and purification that you do should become vessels capable of hearing the Dharma of profound emptiness. (191a) If you can make correct prayers, it will be an excellent good deed. In short, good and non-good actions are the cause of producing the results of happiness and suffering, and from pure causes, the results of samsara and nirvana, etc., are established from the perspective of the world without examination, from what is seen in front of you, until the pure ones in the subsequent attainment of the tenth bhumi bodhisattva. If results arise from these causes, then do results arise from the cause of destroyed things, or do results arise from the cause of non-destroyed things? If you observe in this way, then you will establish the cause and effect relationship of conventional truth through such observation.
