Because the result is established by its own nature, the sign is accepted. The pervasiveness is established by the world. Didn't Nagarjuna (Sanskrit, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning in Chinese) say that long ago? This "pervasiveness is established by the world" means that in the small collection of Madhyamaka emptiness of the great peacock, Bodhichitta Perseverance, it is said: Those who follow the Madhyamaka and those who speak oppositely are accepted by the worldly people themselves. When arguing in accordance with the world, the unopposed great sovereign master Nagarjuna and Chandrakirti, etc., only repeat their views. In other aspects, following and opposing have not been accepted anywhere. In short, the Madhyamaka does not establish any phenomena of existence or non-existence in its own system, because if it is established and accepted in that way, it will lead to the great extremes of permanence and annihilation. This is the view of the complete and perfect Buddha and Nagarjuna's feet, etc. The sutra says: What is Prajnaparamita (Sanskrit, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal meaning in Chinese)? There, one does not observe whether form is permanent or impermanent. If form itself is not observed, then how can permanence or impermanence exist? (182b) Similarly, it is also said up to omniscience. The treatise says: Saying "exists" is clinging to permanence, saying "does not exist" is viewing as annihilation. Therefore, the wise should not dwell on existence and non-existence. Whatever exists by its own nature is not non-existence, therefore it is permanent. Saying "previously existed, now does not exist" will lead to the view of annihilation. It also says: If one accepts that things exist, then one will cling to permanence and annihilation, because things are permanent and impermanent changes. And so on. Therefore, if one's own system accepts that things are permanent and impermanent, what will happen? It will become an acceptance of either permanence or annihilation in meaning. Moreover, whether it is existence or non-existence, as long as one of them is accepted in one's own system, then in reality it is equivalent to accepting both permanence and annihilation. Because accepting that a phenomenon does not exist, then that phenomenon becomes annihilation. If it does not exist, then it will depend on non-existence, and there will be a phenomenon of existence. In this way, this existence will depend on the annihilation of non-existence, and will be clung to as permanence. Whoever accepts the phenomenon of existence, then that phenomenon becomes permanent, and if it exists, then it will depend on it.

If there were a non-existent dharma, then those who do not understand the world would be very attached to thinking that this non-existence is the annihilation in relation to existence and permanence. Furthermore, all dharmas from form to omniscience, both admit that they are established by valid cognition, and say that they are not truly established, which is actually admitting both extremes. Because (183a) it is admitted that dharmas are established by valid cognition without being empty of their own nature, this is the extreme of permanence; and it is admitted that these dharmas become unreal when analyzed, this is admitting the extreme of annihilation. Whatever exists by its own nature, it is not non-existent, so it is permanent; saying that it existed before and does not exist now, therefore it will fall into annihilation. Therefore, do not distort these clear teachings of the Bhagavan and all the commentators, and admit the dharmas of existence and non-existence in your own doctrine, thereby falling into the two great extremes of permanence and annihilation. Here, remember the song of realization of the venerable all-knowing Nyenpa Rinchen, which says: "In the nature of the two truths, in the truth and falsehood of the two truths, the dharma that exists in its own nature, the world and the proclaimers of treatises all believe. In the Sutra of the Mother of the Bhagavan, etc., in the truth and falsehood of each of the two truths, for the nature, characteristics, and self-nature of the two truths that are true, it is said that it cannot tolerate being an object. Repeatedly emphasized admonitions. For such a thing that has no object, who would establish a self-nature? It is not allowed to establish there either, because by grasping at the nameless as a name, I, Repa, find it ridiculous for the fool who has the characteristics of elaboration." Therefore, remember this supreme nectar of speech. Therefore, as it is said, the teacher (183b) emanates an emanation with an emanation, emanates with the perfection of miraculous powers, and the emanation also emanates an emanation, again like other emanations. Similarly, whatever action the agent does, what is done is like the form of an emanation. For example, an emanation emanates another emanation, just like what the emanation does. Afflictions, actions, and bodies, etc., the agent and the result, are like a city of gandharvas, like mirages and dreams. With the metaphors of emanation, etc., starting from the nature of mere appearance in the two truths, it is explained that these dharmas have no self-nature.
