It is unreasonable to say that you do not need to admit it in this way, and even if you do, it will contradict yourself, because the faults have already been fully stated. (178b) In particular, when the view of profound emptiness has been established and practiced through meditation, what is worse than clinging to signs if all elaborations and signs are cut off and one enters into that very emptiness, and thus does not prevent birth, etc. in conventionality? Furthermore, some, such as Lodro Ten, say that Master Nagarjuna only negated the nature of the completely imputed, but did not negate the nature of the other-dependent. Moreover, the Blessed One said, "All dharmas are without nature, unborn, unceasing, peaceful from the beginning, and naturally completely liberated from suffering," etc., and these were spoken with reference to the absence of characteristics of the completely imputed, and not with reference to the other-dependent. Some Mind-Only and Madhyamika schools think that they cannot negate appearance by negating imputation, and if they negate it, they will be harmed by direct perception, etc. From the Two Truths: Whatever is the nature of appearance, that is not negation. Whatever is experienced, it is not reasonable to negate. Whatever is the aspect of birth, etc., is appearance, and it is also the other's imputation that is negated in what is called reality, etc. Therefore, here only such imputation should be negated. This negation of non-imputation will only harm oneself. And in the commentary: The main thing that appears to the discriminating mind, etc., is truly (179a) that which has become the cause of things, that which is imputed by others is negated. If one says that it appears, then it is unbearable to examine because there is no proof for such an assertion. Those who are manifestly attached to things also distort this very text by claiming that the other-dependent thing and mere appearance are infallible: In the case of the completely imputed, by what reasoning is it not reasonable to arise from self and other? By that reasoning, it is also not reasonable for the other-dependent, so how can the other-dependent arise? In the case of the completely imputed, by what reasoning are all elaborations and signs completely pacified? Is not the same reasoning also applicable to the other-dependent? How can the other-dependent find elaboration?

Now, let's transform. Under the control of other powers, by what kind of reasoning can it be proven that the arising from self and other is unreasonable? Since this reasoning is unreasonable even for mere appearance, then whose would the undeniable appearance be? Under the control of other powers, by what kind of reasoning can it be proven that all elaborations and signs are completely pacified? Since this reasoning is the same even for appearance, then by whom would the elaboration of appearance be obtained? Thus combining them. Even in conventional truth, the negation of arising from others, etc., is to uproot the thorn of viewing as real the remnants of elaborative phenomena such as other power and mere appearance. Therefore, the great teacher Chandrakirti has excellently spoken. And the great Tsongkhapa said: The object to be refuted by the reasoning of all the scriptures of the Middle Way (179b) is the true establishment of things established by the way they exist in their own nature. And this established by conventional valid cognition is not the object to be refuted by reasoning, for if it were, it would fall into a great extreme of nihilism. Those who say this are actually grasping the side that the great teacher Chandrakirti, with his great compassion without object, has negated in this root text and commentary, and thus they are merely negating this teacher. Just as Sakya Pandita said: Grasping the treatises of Dharmakirti, they negate the reasoning of the great self-existent one. Monkeys dwelling in the forest scatter impurities on the trees. Just like that. While claiming to explain the good system of Chandrakirti, they strangely strive to negate Chandrakirti's profound intentions with strong clinging to reality and hatred. Therefore, it is reasonable for you to change and refute the stainless reasoning of the noble Chandrakirti's treatise with your view of speaking of reality. In the case of true establishment, by what kind of reasoning can it be proven that the arising from self and other is unreasonable? Since this reasoning is unreasonable even for what is established by conventional valid cognition, then whose would what is established by conventional valid cognition be? In the case of true establishment, by what kind of reasoning can it be proven that all elaborations and signs are completely pacified? Since this reasoning is the same even for what is established by conventional valid cognition, then by whom would what is established by conventional valid cognition be obtained? That which is established by conventional valid cognition, that proof, the noble Chandrakirti, in this consequentialist system, fully demonstrates and negates whether the proof and the proven are the same or not. Alas! You consequentialist debaters, the good treatises of the consequentialist (18
